Gray wasn't able to attend any camps much, if at all. And Carol City been down past few years. But all you need to do is watch the tape. His size and speed for his size is great. Every evaluator down south has said he is the real deal. And for anyone in the know on Carol City, when a prospect comes out of there. They are the real deal and hard workers.

And he has the respect from many top dog players in South Florida.

Kid is big. I mean he has to be getting enrolled....its faith. Lol... Three times this month ive seen the kid.....two weeks back played ball at the park against him, then this weekend he was at the movie theater i went to.

If he stays at wr, kid will be like Anquan Boldin....Kid with that type of size, who hasnt hit a weight trainign/program explodes.

-Not one Carol City area kid have let us down....kids from there are legit (Willie Williams was legit but headcase)..

Current guy son our team from area-

Tracy Howard, Malcolm Lewis, Allen Hurns (just left)....

Star prospects from Carol City usually produce.....and thats from Santana on down to Eric Mankurr.

Also as for rankings. Watch how much Scarlett moves up as the recruiting process goes. Bet he will be a 5 on some sites with a good season. They have enough reason for it with measurables at 5'11" 210, 4.30 forty yard dash, that's rare.

I just hope the holes get Frazier. If not, I think Scarlett is going to tally.

Frazier is #2 on FSU board but they haven't been able to get him on campus yet, if they can't get Farzier Scarlett is the 3rd back on their board

As talented as Frazier is, I really hope he does end up at FSU along with Patrick.

We can't afford to lose Scarlett, especially to the Noles. That's not to suggest that he'd definitely flip or anything like that, but he seems as solidly committed as anyone in this class right now and we need to keep it that way. Best overall player in the class, doesn't plan to take visits, now at STA, close as brothers with Sam Bruce. Invaluable commit, IMO.

At the risk of being negged into oblivion . . . why is Trayone's composite on 247 so low? I ask because I have not seen him play. By all accounts (on this board and elsewhere) he is ELITE. But an .8576 composite is not all that high. What are the analysts at 247 basing this composite on? I'll duck now at the responses to this honest question.

Because the nerds doing the fake analysis are clueless. All they do is see who is recruiting the player and then adjust the rankings accordingly. Because Gray didn't have a ton of big-time schools on him his ranking suffered. Gray might be the best football player in this class, so you can wipe your butt with that composite ranking.

Quan is the absolute key to the class, period. I've said it a million times. Not only is he the instinctive ballhawk that makes key plays when your team needs them, but he is the type of in-your-face leader we haven't had...especially on defense.

So why would he come here! Why would Quan Johnson come to Miami when 90% of the board wants AL fired and the other 10% can't wait to see us flop this season.

Because he's coming to UM, not U of Al.

Jaquan seems like one of those recruits that we can fully convince by beating FSU. I remember we were looking good for Nick O Leary until FSU pulled our panties down and bent us over at home. it was ball game after that.

Word on the street was that his family was poorer than dirt and Paul Azinger got to him with a FSU golf bag full of cash. We didn't have a chance. Kid had to feed the fam and I don't really blame him.

Scarlett was a heavy FSU lean at one point. He felt dissed by FSU and I totally agree with his feelings. He went out at the opening and put on a show. His family has come with him to the U as well as Bruce's family. It's done. Bruce and Scarlett are staying.

FSU will get Frazier and Patrick. And honestly. I'm ok with that.

I want Scarlett the most out of anyone especially after what he did at the opening.

I love Williams versatility.

And I like Cronk and Walton's games as well.

I'll admit, I was even butthurt when Scarlett didn't want to give us a chance at U School. But the kid is the real deal. You can't compare anything to a guy who runs a legit 4.30 at 5'11" 210. Come on, that is rare, that's pre-injury McGahee like. And it's not like its a fluke, he did this numerous times.

As for Jaquan. If Irvin comes. He comes. I'll repeat, staff feels confident at this point with both.

Trayone is the real deal and his rating on sites took a hit because he was focusing on his grades instead of coming out to the camps. You watch the film, the size, the speed. His demeanor, and he's a hard worker and he plays at Carol City which is well known for turning out great players.

This kid was crying on signing day. He wants to be a Cane. He would have easily been at the least a high 4 star on sites or possibly a 5 with his athleticism and size if he camped. Instead he worked in the classroom, got the score he needed and things are on the up with his chances of being here. Anyone who listens to who evaluates players down here, they'll tell you, Gray is the real deal.

I can pretty much guarantee that if Scarlett called and said he wanted to commit to FSU, they wouldn't say thanks but no thanks. We only want Patrick and Frazier. I'm sick of everyone acting like we only pick up FSU's scraps.
