All are 3 �� Talents, this number one class isn't going to last long with all the 3 stars. Maybe still top 5 after all them.
I trust Kools evaluation of their talents. I like Chatman and Silvera don't get me wrong.
But where are the top tier recruits on that side of the ball. Besides the CB's and S's it doesn't look great.
Maybe I'm over reacting or missing something.

The fans part was humor on my end chose. He has only addressed reporters stating evan is so far ahead once & he didn't support the statement at all. Far as the first couple weeks he's told yall last year he does that based upon off season conditions etc. Everyone does that in the first two weeks or so of practice. The number assigned to them had nothing to do with reps at all. It's been distributed among all contenders to give them a shot with each group to see who shines. You of all people should understand context when someone is a smart ***. Only reality to that statement is evan being the starter will cause the fan base to implode & he knows that. Evan is Frank Costa all over again. Malik is Kirby Freeman 2.0. No offense to them but if either is our starter it's gonna be a tough year & tells our fan base none of our qb is the answer.

There is no way that Rosier is anything close to Kirby. Not even close. He's only started one game, but that should be proof alone, all by itself.

Yeah. Kirby was a nervous mess. His hands actually shook like Michael J. Fox when he played. He started that game against NC State and completed something like 3 passes for 14 yards in 4 quarters. There's never been a QB here that bad. Kirby takes the cake by a mile.

Malik started 1 game and played pretty **** good. He should be even better now 2 years later with better coaches shouldn't he?

By logic yes. But he played average against duke... That was one of our more embarrassing moments where we needed a horribly illegal 13 lateral or whatever to beat ****** duke for God's sake. Malik is the definition of a nonfactor. Kirby had a few games similar to that. A high four star out of Texas. What a miserable evaluation that was.

I don't remember that Duke game that way. I'm pretty sure Duke was favored in that game.

And Kirby certainly never had any games anywhere near as good as the one Malik played against Duke. Kirby's one moment here was the desperation heave into the end zone against FSU when he was so scared that his hands were visibly trembling like Michael J Fox.

Im not saying dee is right or wrong, but to be fair - Allison was only third til the first scrimmage, and got hurt during it.

I can see where off season effort solidifies your spot through the first scrimmage. Jack never got a chance to rebound after that.

1 of 15 84 yards and a TD, if I remember correctly. Also, I believe it was Jenkins that caught a TD in the end zone that was called incomplete or we win that game. Kirby was horrible, and there's not a QB on our roster as bad as him.

Rosier isn't horrible, neither is Shirreffs. We'll be fine with either one.

What I think some on this board are afraid of is one of these guys doing well enough that Perry doesn't win the job. Personally, I want one of these guys to do well enough that Perry can redshirt and get acclimated to college life and Richt's system. However, if Perry comes in and lights up our D and blows the doors off of everyone, get him in there. I just don't have those expectations until he gets here and proves it.

I've been burned in the past thinking X-player would be the next great one here, only to be disappointed. I will wait and see this time.

People see Duke and remember the return and forget all context. If not for the refs and our terrible DC. That's a comfortable two score win where he throws for over 270 with two 4th quarter scoring drives.

Also for the people should know offers/being made a priority by elite coaches > stars (although the two go hand in hand 85-90% of the time but there are exceptions like garvin who was a 3* for most of the process)

Maybe Rosier is a "gamer" and not a good practice player. Jimmy Johnson use to say that Alvin Harper only looked good in practice on Fridays. And IIRC he was a starter for Jimmy his entire time with the Boys' because Jimmy knew he could count on him to show up on Sundays.

Problem with this is that I dont think thats gonna fly with Richt. If you dont look good in practice, you wont ever see the field. At least thats the vibe I get from him.

All due respect, you're losing a little credibility with your assessment of Rosier.

You must not be looking at the same game that I saw.

You've already seen the stats, pretty darn good considering it was his first start as a redshirt freshman, coming off of a crushing and humiliating defeat against Clemson, and with all the distractions of the HC having been fired that week, and not only did he have a very good statistical game, he threw some dimes, watch the replay. There were plenty of flashes of leadership in that game, too

Now, I'm not saying the job is his, or that Perry can't come in and dominate and win the job out right, or that someone else could win - it it's all up in the air.

But to count Rosier out as a Kirby type player that sucks and has little chance to win the job, or shouldn't with the job? The evidence does not support it.

I don't care about favorites,dukes record, where they finished in the acc... NOTHING. All i care about is that game was a glaring example to the nation (& plenty of other games too)of what a joke our program had become. There is never any legit reason why we should need a last second play to beat a school that is good for nothing but basketball,rape & lacrosse. I think David cutliffe is a great coach. Regardless of that they are what they are & that's horribly inferior. Just my opinion but it ain't gonna change.

Kirby had several games similar to his 1-18 game. Low single digit completions. If it'll make yall feel better since apparently every word only has a literal meaning ( my point was they both suck. That was the similarity I was emphasising) to make it a better literal equation okay I'll change it from Kirby Freeman 2.0 to Ryan Collins 2.0 (only the college version) feel better now... point still is he's irrelevant. What's interesting to me is if his one game would've been against an even serviceable defense what would yall consider him then...

Silvera is a 4 star recruit in 2/3 services that have rated him.
Chatman is a high 3 star and hasn't yet been rated by all 4 services.

I agree that our program was a joke and that we should never lose to Duke. That doesn't have anything to do with the conversation though.
