Maybe this should be its own thread, but I think the 7 on 7 game is different enough that I'd be very careful with projections based on what is seen in that setting. I'm interested to hear from some of the coaches on here. I've played live (regular) and 7 on 7 flag and the approach is almost 100% different. Would like for Hollyhood or the like to throw a perspective on how this positively or negatively affects their players.

Only thing was Tracy was a lil bigger. I cant lie seeing T.Cole the other day he does have to gain weight but like Jeff Hill he's a ******* ball player man just gain the weight and he will be a stud flat out

It's why I dont go 100% into recruiting this time of the year. I remember in 2012 when the Miami boards were trying to make Brandon Snell to be a high 4 star player. This time of the year our fans are mostly aware of the local kids and a decent 3 star kid looks like a potential top 247 player. Not calling Cole a three star player, but he is closer to 3 star than he is 5 star..........

Exactly my thoughts. Even if the level of education being taught is lower than other places, it's no excuse for these kids having horrible grades. It's up to the parents and/or guardians to push their kids and instill in them the importance of education. It's complete bull**** to blame others. It starts at home with the parents.

Humphrey's presents an interesting potential prospect with very good athletic blood lines and ties to stanford. I think he would use a miami offer to leverage a late Stanford offer if he doesn't get one before or if UM offers. I like Humphrey's athleticism.

I have serious doubts about that 6'3" height measurement unless everyone else on the field are giants. But i really like LB's that can catch, it makes for alot of interceptions on undercut routes.

It's mind boggling to hear the same thing every year. These kids have got to figure it out, do some work in the classroom and you can go pretty much anywhere you want.

This is everywhere. It's not just south florida.....Georgia is the same way.
A lot of you seem to be against some of the south florida athletes because in the past some of the best didn't go to miami. Open your eyes it happens everywhere not just here..... Ask georgia how many top athletes they lose to another school every year.....

Having Kayaa is huge. Opening back up a Cali Pipeline and recruits are going to want to play for him. he is serious man. he wants a National Championship.

You are right this is much different and I am one that thinks too much evaluation goes into some of the players as opposed to a regular game. 7 on 7 can make an average QB or WR look great when really that's not the case. I'm not trying to pick on any player but there is one in the 2015 class who physically has all the tools but doesn't have much heart so in 7 on 7 he looks like a beast because he knows he's not going to get hit but in a real game he keeps his head on a swivel at all times which takes away from his pass catching. As far as QBs just the fact of knowing there is no rush changes a lot of their thinking and for those that are afraid of staying in the pocket it gives coaches a false sense of how the QB actually is.
7 on 7 does have positives and negatives for every player and from talking with a bunch of college coaches they tend to take it for what it's worth and not a final say on whether a kid can play for them or not.
