You can be vanilla if:

1) Your technique/execution/hustle is impeccable, AND
2) You're head and shoulders above the other team talent-wise.

Those 2 things weren't true tonight, in any amount.
 
I'm not a pile on the coach guy, but when can I start calling for Coach L's head? At least Golden has brought in good recruits. Coach L was left with good players, and hasn't really brought in any young guys.

Good point, and we only have 19 fans who even know we have a basketball team, and 16 of them just got turned off. Why do I care?

I just turned on the TV, went to my DVR, and canceled the recording of Friday night's game against Jacksonville. Now, there is a 99% chance I'll go back and hit record again, but this is pushing me to f-ing limit.

This loss sucks, but the A-Sun isn't a bad basketball conference. That being said--if you're predicted to be a top 4 ACC team, you should beat these guys by at least 15, not GET beat by 15.

Nah bruh, this isn't something that can be written off lightly.

We gave them a pass against St. Leo, even though the performance was a stinker. Pre-season exhibition, who cares right?

Stetson was a life and death struggle until we limped away with an 8-point win at home.

Now something called Florida Gulf Coast beats us by 15 or whatever at their place, when there were probably more Canes fans in attendance than whatever they are called.


This is officially a dumpster fire, along with every other Miami-based sports organization not named the Miami Heat.

Trust me, I'm not writing this off lightly. The A-Sun plays good basketball is all I was trying to say. Their teams are always scrappy, high energy, and don't tend to back down from anyone. I watch a lot of East Tennessee State bball since they're about an hour away from me, and they play in the A-Sun so I've seen a lot of their teams play in the past few years.

That being said...with the talent that this team has, even without Garrius Adams and Durand Scott--we played like a pee-wee team tonight. If you're an ACC team that should be as good as we were predicted to be, then get your *** out there and be the aggressor, and put these guys away early before they have a chance to believe. And...don't let up.

We came out expecting FGCU to lay down. They didn't. We didn't step up and assert ourselves as the better team--we instead continued to play sloppy and expect the win to come to us instead of going out there and taking it.

Larranaga needs to explain to this team just exactly how terrible they are right now. I don't care what **** he has to break in the locker room to get their attention, he needs to do it. Send me the facking bill. These problems aren't all on Durand Scott not being there--they're all far deeper than that.

This was one of the worst displays of basketball I have ever seen from a Miami team, and I went to all the home games the year we went 0-18 in the Big East. ^&%#(&!!jklaf

Edit: That last part was my 7 month old taking out his frustration on the keyboard.
