Watch this Golden interview from yesterday. In the first 2 minutes he quickly illustrates $30M+ in football improvements over the last year. This doesn't include the improvements to the Hecht at the start of Golden's tenure, or any other improvements that have occurred before the last year, any of the little stuff like the marketing and video improvements, and of course does not include the $350M in improvements Ross is making to MoonLife Stadium, which UM supported, but certainly didn't drive or fund.

$30M.

And there are two more major football capital improvment phases on the agenda.

No other UM President/BOT has overseen such a commitment, during their entire tenure, let alone in a year or so. Anyone who criticizes them with regards to their commitment to UM Football needs to deactivate their CaneCard. The astute folks here may remember that Donna assigned one of her very best fund-raisers to Football/AD a few years ago. This is the result.

Its Great to Be.

UCF's indoor facility is nice as **** and it cost $4.3MM and of the $30MM they spent on upgrades they couldn't include that???

No, it couldn't. Tell us what $4M in improvements so far you would like to have sacrificed to date in order to have had that built already. The Schwartz? The Training Table? Go on. In time. I know its too much to ask you to be patient, but at least be rational and FAIR to the U that you support. We have enough enemy fans that cast irrational and unfair **** at us.

Nice try. Are they doing a better job today than 10 years ago, yes. But the opportunity was 10+ years ago when we were on top of CFB.

They blew that prime opportunity to take advantage.

I think some of that money may have been spent on people.
Look who we hired in this last year alone, Tim Harris, and the other local coach (his name escapes me.) This has been without attrition of other staff members. Also, have 4 GAs which is more then the 2 of before. The recent addition to the S&C to help Swasey. So they're is improvement on that field.
These hires have been pretty evident in our recent success in the South Florida recruiting.

I'm sure we'd all like to see budget's the size of Alabama or Texas, but realistically you don't NEED it to win, mind you it sure helps. So I think there is marked improvement in that area. As Al would say, we're trending up!

You guys that complain about not having an indoor facility need to factor in Land cost and space... ucf's campus is huge! orlando is relatively cheap to build on...

Is the indoor practice facility more so for recruiting and showing our commitment to our competition or do we really miss that much practice due to the weather?

He sure looks and sounds more authentic and at peace -- a lot less manufactured than in the past. I think the PSU fiasco humbled him a bit.
