FSU is showing what happens when you win on the field.

Mario and Co. is going to be UNSTOPPABLE on the recruiting trail if we can have a successful (9+wins) season.

While the FSU Bolden news causes most posters to signal the panic alarm - It actually places me at ease because it just goes to show what happens when you win - Norvell isn’t some savage recruiter but he’s shown these guys he can put them in position to make plays and win games. And I know Mario can do the same thing.

No one on this board saw Norvell turning FSU around in Year 3 with a 10 win season. But once he rooted out the young man that “didn’t want to stop wearing hoodies/sunglasses/Earrings/Earbuds” during team meetings…..that team took off. Not about those items being wrong in themselves…it’s about guys sacrificing small things to be a part of something bigger - complying with team policy and not making it ALL ABOUT YOU.

Mario is building Miami the same way and this FSU takeoff is exactly how we will look in a year or two. Those that played team sports know exactly what I’m talking about….IYKYK

Pointless thread. We can’t expect people to enjoy a web site where others start topics just to say the sky is falling without something specific.
CIS is not your counselor. Stop unloading your emotional Bullsh*t on this website.

5 minutes til shut down.
If you go look at the OP's history of posts he clearly has an agenda.

I think that's BS and our NIL that was so far ahead is chit compared to everyone now. Only explanation I see

We have a totally different team , we’re going to witness something taking shape very quickly that the young folks haven’t experienced.
We’re assembling Restrepo type players that DO have stomach for (4) quarters of combat , that will weather the storm, that will fight back , that will not let there teammates fall .

That will look at each other eye to eye saying we got them right where we want them .

Call the 44 quick trap WE will open that RUNNING LANE hit it hard IT WILL BE THERE !!!!

What a great feeling for a OL looking up from the ground as the WISK high pumping QUADS blasting by as the second level opens just as Restrepo BLAST that safety closing fast with all Restrepo has giving a slight opening as RB afterburners ignite to daylight.

How’s that brothers from an old OL player who can to this day picture what this team mindset will be made of.

We will see a new breed Cane team we’ve wanted to see fir so long .

Our wagon train is always open for naysayers to join .

Interesting.

Not sure if I should believe. Same board told me 100’s of times that Norvell’s strategy was foolish, the new fangled portal wouldn’t be sustainable, winning would not improve his HS recruiting.

Now we should follow his model.

Interesting.

This thread is depressing... Especially when we know Mario was brought in to recruit top 5 classes and that he is most likely to underachieve as an on field coach
The goalposts have been moved each month lol. It’s insane…I should bring up posts from the summer and people would just brush it off.

The two things that give me hope is that Mario improved by 3+ wins from Year 1 to Year 2 at both FIU and Oregon, plus the schedule is pretty manageable.

Yeah, that's why alot of us didn't want Mario. I'm over the days of having to out talent everyone to win. I'd like to outsmart & outs scheme some people for once. When was the last time we did that?

He needs 9 wins this year.

But 100% the goalposts are moving. Mario needs top 5 classes if he wants top 10 teams.

He needs to stack back to back to back top 5 classes if he wants a playoff team.

Top 15 classes is what we got with the last several head coaches. Moving to top 12 isn't going to change anything when you have a mediocre (or even below average) game day coach.

Eh. I don’t want to follow his model at all. Allocating all your resources towards short term transfer bandages and keeping upper classmen from entering the draft is great if you’re just going for a one year run at a playoff spot. Which is what they’re doing this year. But they haven’t recruited nearly well enough to replace everyone who’s gone after the 2023 season so that leaves you right back to trying to cobble together another roster of short term transfer players. Even if they snag a top 10 class this year, their previous three classes finished 19, 20 and 23 in the composite. Those are the guys who will make up a majority of their roster.
