We need to rep their plays more in a live game, get it on film, give defenses even more to worry about.
I was expecting something completely different when I opened this thread per thread title.
Like bro where is the FB Dive , I want to see 240 lbs of lean, quick-twitch hate running the ballReally want to see lofton run some mofos over
OH NO WERE NOT GETTING THE TIGHT ENDS THE BALL ENOUGH WERE ONLY NUMBER ONE IN THE COUNTRY ON OFFENSEArroyo has 16 catches and you can make the argument he is the 2nd best receiver behind Restrepo. Hèll based off ability you can make the case he is the best. You get your best players the ball end of discussion

Yea that makes it ok not to use one your best talentsOH NO WERE NOT GETTING THE TIGHT ENDS THE BALL ENOUGH WERE ONLY NUMBER ONE IN THE COUNTRY ON OFFENSE
So what let’s just not use talent because the offense #1? Yea that makes sense dumb àssWE HAVE THE #1 OFFENSE IN THE NATION YOU UNSATISFIABLE DUNCE!
Reread my other comments on this thread. I didn’t say let’s not use him. I said there’s a finite number of plays you get during a game and you call plays that scheme up best against the fronts you’re seeing. Not everything in life is either/or. I realize that’s difficult for a rural Carolinian to understand, so let me explain. So what let’s just not use talent because the offense #1? Yea that makes sense dumb àss
Fool what? I’m not no Carolinian so whatever that lil dumb clown shít you just tried to pull keep it to your lame àss self. 2nd back to ball cause you ain’t built like that. There is enough opportunities for him to get more than 16 catches in 8 games when he is one of the most talented guys on the offense. Now get your bítch àss onReread my other comments on this thread. When you’re at a family reunion and you see a female you sort of recognize, she’s not either your sister or your babymomma. She’s both. Got it now?
Dawson is midImagine if we had Jeremiah Smiff at WR and he was getting thrown to 3-4 times a game, but we still had a high octane offense. One could make the same argument that the offense is just taking what the D gives them. It would probably be true, but I think it’s valid to ask if it’s an Xs and Os issue or if it’s due to the D taking that option away. I’d ask the football gurus here if they think the OC isn’t placing enough of an emphasis in getting the ball into the hands of his biggest playermaker. Perhaps I am overestimating Arroyos skill set, but he looks to me like he is an impossible mismatch. No LB can cover him and he runs as fast as a top tier WR when he has the ball. He’s too tall for a DB to cover him. I’d like to see him get the ball more but I am also curious if the D is erasing him , Cam just doesn’t check down to TEs often, or if Dawson isnt drawing up plays that are specifically designed to get Arroyo the ball.
The thing is you aren’t stopping elite teams this day and age of cfb. It’s about getting the stops when you have toDawson is mid
Cam makes him look way better than he is
I’m worried when we get to the acc championship and then playoffs and we’ll be playing legit dbs
we’re gonna see a lot of hero ball from cam
Bc Dawson doesn’t exploit mismatches
Or schemes to create them
Yea well get oursThe thing is you aren’t stopping elite teams this day and age of cfb. It’s about getting the stops when you have to
You seem to be more interested in winning an argument than understanding what I said. I understand 100% what you’re trying to say - get Arroyo the ball more. I’m saying that the defensive schemes coupled with less plays are the reasons we can’t/don’t. You want to keep arguing your point without acknowledging that what I’ve pointed out - several times now - is the reason why we have not gotten him the ball more, therefore continuing any debate over the matter is pointless. Additionally, we already have a historically great offense.Fool what? Idk right now I would say noYea well get ours
but can we hold elite teams to less than 35
That’s gonna be the key
Can we keep teams like Clemson and to under 35
But wait, we want everyone to have success and score 120 pts a game and coaching is a real issue with us and why aren’t we number 1 in recruiting right now and finally, how did my panties get so wet. Asking for a friend. There is a finite number of plays each game. The defensive alignment typically dictates play calls. There are 6 players on the field for offense that can potentially advance the football. Sure, we can target the TEs more, but at what expense? Do we take targets away from X? Isaiah Horton? JG? Sam Brown? Do we take handoffs away from Martinez? Fletcher? Allen?
Last week, FSU played a soft deep cover 2 and dropped 5-6 all night. That screams RUN THE BALL to the OC, which we did....EXTREMELY EFFECTIVELY. Were we supposed to force the pass into that coverage in order to get EA, EL and RW more targets?
I do agree with your last sentence though.
And what you don’t understand is you get your best guys the ball period. I don’t care about winning no argument. You don’t go without at least trying to get one of your top weapons involved. Cam is averaging 35 pass attempts per game. He had exactly 35 attempts vs fsu. TEs has had success vs fsu defense. Cal had the most passing yards vs fsu this year and the TE was the 2nd leading receiver. Memphis had the 2nd most yards and the TE was the leading wr. Smu TE had 2tds vs fsu. You see a common theme here? You seem to be more interested in winning an argument than understanding what I said. I understand 100% what you’re trying to say - get Arroyo the ball more. The Carolina part was because I assumed you’re from Carolina because 252 is a Carolina area code. The other half of what I said was a joke - get over it bro. No need for direct messages We are both Canes after all.
Fair enough. We are just looking at this differently and neither is wrong. I’m sorry if you felt disrespected. Truce? And what you don’t understand is you get your best guys the ball period. And that other shït all I’m gone say is y’all guys on the internet are way too comfortable with getting slick out the mouth behind screens. I don’t mind talking ball with anybody but when you get to being disrespectful that’s when I get ignant
