Hard to peruse the boards with all these borderline personality disordered black-and-white reactionary threads since Saturday.

Here's a solution, OP should never ever breed. Not sure how it would help UM, but it would definitely do UM msg boards a solid.

For one thing Miami has to get better athletic facilities, there own stadium would help sunlife stadium is nice but it doesnt have the college gameday atmosphere of the orange bowl. And money wise we cant keep up with the other big programs that pay the recruits under the table to go to school. Just my opinion

Im serious maybe if all of us CANES fan want to miami succeed lets start a fund raiser to donate money to our athletic program

Miami will never have enough money to compete with public schools. It's that fact alone that settles this debate if we're searching for a definitive solution. Public schools pump out more alumni than private schools, therefore the alumni networks are much larger for public schools. When it comes to adding to campuses, making renovations and the like, alumni donations are key! Remember in "The U" documentary when they said buildings were popping up while they were winning, that's because the football team was raking cash from bowl games and successful seasons as well as alumni supporting their winning ways. So it's a combination of too small a network of alumni and our athletic programs haven't been experiencing much success. As for the Schwartz Center, that was mainly due to major alumni donations. My uncle, who's a big alumni, was asked to donate and he didn't because he thought his money would be better spent in something else. Not that he didn't want to help the U, but because he was already making donations in other areas. I did a package on how the Schwartz Center all came about. If you all want to see it lemme know I'll post it on the thread.

Miami has never had the best facilities or an on campus stadium. We never will. But how many schools have 5 championships in the last 30 years? Not many. The only thing in the last 30 years that has stopped Miami from being competitive are sanctions and randy Shannon.

And based on the nevin Shapiro accusations, no one can keep up with Miami players get hooked up with. Then problem is Nevin ended up paying a bunch of losers towards the end.
