The Past Decade: Revealed

Whoa, you skipped the third one.

Miami wins - we were better, and we have a great leader.
Miami loses to a top team - they were better, and our great leader can't be expected to beat better teams
Miami loses to a lesser team - man, the post-season sure is random, our great leader had some bad luck

So sad that this is what our program has come down to. There is an excuse for everything.

I love that you refuse to answer this in its entirety. It is impossible for you to ever admit that we blew it and should have won a series or a regional. Always an excuse. Love it.

Uh, what? Why do you think you know what changes he did or did not make during that time? That's a comical post.

I watched all those teams. I can say if his strategies and tactics changed. Maybe you can't but that's on you.

Oh lawd. Here we go. You know if they put a different emphasis in their recruiting strategies? You know if they did or did not focus on something in the fall that needed to be addressed?

Laughable comments. You sat in the stands (allegedly) and know exactly what they did to prepare for each season.

We've only lost two home regionals in 23 years (16 times as host).

One time we completely crapped out (2012) and the other time we lost to a team close to us who was on a record postseason run (2014).

Not much to apologize for or explain.

What needed to be addressed?

We were among the best teams from 1994-98 and among the best teams from 1999-01.

The only difference was one pitch (1996) and some single game outcomes.

His teams didn't play any different and his strategies regarding the bullpen, starting pitching, bunting, stealing didn't change.

This is common knowledge to anybody who watched those teams or is even willing to look up the stats.

Oh, sweetie, your posts are becoming cult-like in their defense of Jim Morris.

We have won exactly two games in Omaha in a ten year span, missed Omaha 70% of the time, but you can only find one season when you can admit that maybe we didn't play as well as we should have. Good god. Nice expectations.

(1) You had to be in the stadium to "watch those teams", which I know you weren't.
(2) No one can pull up stat pages to see what they did in fall practice. What a terrible stupid statement.

This is why some people are relegated to the sidelines. Keep this dude away from the strategic side.

No. I gave you two seasons.

How did they not play as well as they should? They weren't supposed to win any of the road regionals they lost.

Why is this hard for you to understand?

We've been a 1-seed 17 times in 23 years. We're 15-2 in advancing. Including the last two.

Yet somehow the only two losses are the ones you're harping on.

Once again your obsession with 2012 is almost pathological.

What does this even mean?

Talk about stupid.

Jim Morris had it pretty well figured out by the time he got to Miami. He managed the same way the entire time. Emphasis on the back end of the bullpen, preferring hitters over defenders in the lineup, bunting, hitting away, stealing bases.

It has been the same from 1994 until now.

So 2 regional losses in 16 tries needs defending?

Only once did they completely flop.

Somehow to point this out is 'cult-like' to Jagr.

All you had to do was agree with this from the beginning:

Miami wins - we were better, and we have a great leader
Miami loses to a top team - they were better, and our great leader can't be expected to beat better teams
Miami loses to a lesser team - man, the post-season sure is random, our great leader had some bad luck

We've only lost to a lower seeded team in the post-season twice?

Great programs, great managers, they don't go winless on the road for an entire decade.
Kinda weird how baseball, football, and basketball all suffered under Shalala's leadership, isn't it?

But please do go on putting it all on Morris.

Can you give me a specific example of how Donna Shalala caused us to fail in Omaha, or not even make Omaha at all? Thanks in advance.

3 teams made it to the CWS the past 2 seasons and Miami is one of them. Jagr/Antwan has been and will always be a buffoon.
