Because the hardest place to rebrand is in your own backyard and it won't happen overnight. But it'll happen.Any theories as to why so many of the So Fla divas continue to play games or choose random OOS schools?

Yes but he's building relationships today with a bunch of local big time recruits and that pays off. How many times have we had to read D$ tell us "the Bama/Tennessee/UF/Louisville staff was on him long before Miami got in the game and that was the difference" when we would ask how we lost whatever recruit was right in our backyard? These are all kids he had a relationship with while at Oregon. Not sure we can count on this being a long term pipeline.

Now if he can just get a WR from down the road ….
More concerned about DT.Now if he can just get a WR from down the road ….
I wonder if this kid was a MF’n parade kid or not….But the kid from Gulliver wants to play for Brian Kelly. These local kids gonna learn quick that Mario will get a stud from anywhere

You sure about this? Three Oregon xfers visited, two ended up at Auburn and one likely is our starting OG.Fact: Mario, upon leaving UO did an honorable thing in not trying to flip guys who were already committed under him at UO or go after their transfer players
Fact: He didn’t say chit about not going after kids who he recruited that did not commit to UO
Yep, make them realize that Miami offer is valuable and they can't treat our offer as something to keep until something better comes along. Want to be a diva, fine, we'll pick up another 5* non-diva out of state.Wanna be a Nat’l Brand? Recruit Nationally. Our back yard is littered w/ NFL guys, but LONG GONE are the days where we’ll be handcuffed by So Fla stars who don’t wanna stay home. They wanna go elsewhere? Fine; we’ll just replace them w/ a blue chip from other places

Two key OL recruits setup officials and one was a lock prior to getting cold feet at the last second.

Ah, missed that part.Key note: I said “he” wouldn’t go after their transfers or recruits.
Ah, missed that part.
I have been comparing/contrasting how Riley raided OK of xfers and recruits. Mario definitely adopted a different strategy.
I would have settled for the Gulf but I’ll take the Pacific.
And leaches who want to take pictures with them in bed.
