The overridingly simple question that I fear has it's answer

I know that everyone wants to blame the defense for everything and yes we did not look good during the final stretch but you have to look at the games as a whole. The game we came back and won or held on too was because of defense. Unc, wake, Fla, all came down to the defense winning the game. We were done by 7 at the half and were competing at Fsu until they found our holes and exploited them. Va Tech game we had 2 back to back fumbles and we were down 21-7 before we knew it. I didn't see the duke game so I can't comment on that. Lousiville game we were in there our defense held and then broke when our offense went 0-11 on 3rd down Wtf. All im saying is that our offense did not help our defense out. Combination of coley calling some bad plays and morris bad decisions this year plus a horrible running game. We didn't have any offensive firepower to compete down the stretch. So yeah dnofrio didn't have a great year but the offense took a step back this year for sure

I agree with 100% of the people though. Our defense is soft as ****,slow, and weak. Our dline lost us a lot games though playing party cake and not getting pressure.

Yea the offense took a step back. Considering we didn't change too many guys on offense, the only change was Coley coming in.

With that said, are you serious about the defense? Fla was a run only team. It's easy to play defense when all you have to do is stack the box. UNC and WF carved our defense up. 5-8 yard pass over and over again with the occasional tackle broken for a big gain or big passes to Ebron. You do realize Ebron had a career game against us right? Duke, our defense was garbage. Louisville, yes our offense sucked, but honestly, do you think Louisville was not going to carve us up? They left him in the game so he could set his career mark. You know, the guy who was a potential #1 overall pick, potential heisman candidate. Well his career day came against us, not against some AAC team, not against some scrub team that gets paid to come get beat.

Sorry man I can't take your post serious when you said the defense was winning us games. Florida is the only one I'll concede the defense made a difference, but that's it. I could accept that yes our offense also sucked and cost us in some games along with the defense, but there weren't any games that our offense alone lost us the game. A perfect example of that is Denver when Tebow was the QB. The defense won the games and kept them close. The other teams only scored like 15 ppg so Tebow only had to score once or twice. Our defense was giving up about 35ppg. Defense did not win or keep us in games.

I think we can all agree Coach L has done a **** respectable job in his first 2 years (i.e. UM's 1st winning record in ACC, year 1 & ACC Title in year 2), so maybe we (coaches, players & fans) can learn from their perspective after a loss to Duke going forward to play #2 Syracuse...
