The OC Candidates Thread

I imagine there’d be two possible trains of thought when considering Arroyo for Mario.

1. Go with familiarity, and someone you’re comfortable with and at least somewhat proven to have success

2. He needs an exciting hire to get momentum and must avoid Arroyo.

For him to receive as much negative recruiting and perception regarding the offense he runs and to go back to the same OC that created most of that bad stigma with Herbert, he’d have to be a moron.

Your schtick is getting old.

Go look at his past body of work on the offensive end. He’s not bringing Grantham, and he’s not in charge of recruiting.

Go look at offensive numbers only, and with what personnel he had.

To reiterate @brock post, you’re verifiably insane if you don’t think he’s an elite play caller.

I would do dirty things for him to be in CG.

I disagree. I’m very impressed with his ability to adapt his posting game…

Let’s see… he recruited/coached the following.

Omar Jacobs at Bowling Green
Alex Smith at Utah
Bryan Johnson at Utah (who some like to be the OC here… not going to happen)
Tim Teabag at UF
Cam Newton at UF
Dak Prescott at Miss St
Nick Fitzgerald at Miss St… check his stats
Kyle Trask at UF

All these dudes put up numbers/had talent

These names are **** near in succession no matter where he was. From big names out of HS to under the radar guys he 1) has an eye for talent and 2) knows how to develop.

Not a huge supporter of him coming here but the fact is he is as proven of a QB developer sans Lincoln Riley you’ll find in college football.

So the notion he can’t recruit…particularly QBs is nonsense

I'd love to see Tee Martin at WR coach. I'd go so far so to say I hope it is him.

At this point I don't care if the WR coach is an all world on field coach. A top tier recruiter might not turn us into a 1st round WR factory with his coaching, but at least he would keep elite SF talent away from everyone else! That's a win.

Anyone know the former SEC QB mentioned here?

Think his son is on the baseball team too?

Honestly, I am so done with some of these suggestions.

Like, its nothing personal, but some of you have suggestions that really make me question things.
