100%, no argument. It's a fair take to say, "Look, I'm willing to gamble on CDM's positives (which you mentioned) and hope/believe they outweigh his negatives."

I am not. There are plenty of high-caliber OCs with less downsides than Mullen, imo, and plenty of less risky paths to success. Not saying this is everyone who wants Mullen, but Miami fans can be guilty of taking the BMW with 150k miles over the Toyota with 50.
.....it depends on the year and models though!

Relax on the Arroyo talk. I got worked up yesterday over it but after some research Im convinced he’s not coming.

1) Mario didn’t even hire him at Oregon, that was Taggart. Mario did retain him but from what I’ve learned today he strongly “suggested” Arroyo take the UNLV job.

2) In his 11 years as a HC he’s never once hired an OC who was previously an OC under him (positions coach? Yes, OC? No).

Don’t let Arroyo be the Ponce this time around.

And Mario hasn't KEPT an OC for longer than 2 years, so I'm not sure why people think Mario will go for Year 4 and Year 5 with Arroyo (and in Year 1, they were Co-OCs, not HC and OC).

I typically enjoy threads that are full of rank nonsense and speculation, but this is alot, even for me. I wish we had 2 parallel threads - one with legit smoke w/ sources vs. complete nonsense w/ names like Gary Stevens and Hartline. I enjoy both, but sometimes I don't have the patience to wade through nonsense in order to get through stuff that people don't pull out of their ****s.

Oh come on… you can’t filter through the rumors, names and pompous ******** opining on every candidate like they are better than Gary Ferman?

I suggest a ****tail. It’s celebration time…
