To play devil’s advocate on his behalf. Especially since in the end we don’t know everyone here personally in general. Some do and alot don’t. But I will speak on experiences I had.
Perhaps he is just trying to provide some info as best as he can without divulging enough that could create a problem for him? Maybe just even the slightest of info could do that?
I say that cus many moons ago, I brought up some info that was legit, and I honestly was doing it just to inform the guys here and add value to the info brought here, with no aspirations of wanting any “cred”. I did my best to not have it be obvious where it came from. Suffice it to say, that it was obvious from the people I am close to, the same people in my personal life I am close friends with and value. It angered them, rightfully so l, and took awhile for me to gain their trust. It is why, though not common, there have been times I have been privy to certain information and now I don’t even attempt to try and be careful in giving that out.
He might be in that precarious a position where he doesn’t want to risk even that?
