the next 2 recruiting classes will define UM...

If we start winning big I hope the coaches decide to stay a few more years. What's better than resurrecting a team from the abyss and creating a dynasty? From dethroning Alabama and the SEC. I'd enjoy the **** out of that. Of course, I prefer college level to pro. Teams like Alabama, VA Tech, etc. They keep the same staff for years. What is it about Miami that makes people want to roll out after 3 years?

Cristiobal didn't turn down a head job. In his interview with WQAM he said he interviewed for 1 (TEMPLE) and inquired on others. He didn't get offered the Temple job.

True, but he did turn down Rutgers and Pittsburgh last year

I think that's unlikely. He may have turned down their interest, but likely not a real job offer. He would have had to go through hoops to get one. Maybe he would have, but the claims that they just threw the job at him seem fanciful.

I personally knew a coach on his staff and he was offered both jobs and turned them down both. Let's just say the majority of the staff was ****ed..... The ones he was going to take and the ones who he wasn't.... Obviously for different reasons....

So he was just called and offered the jobs without having to actually interview for them? Maybe you heard the story right from your personal connection, and maybe they heard it right from him, but that would be a pretty dang rare situation. In most of life, you actually have to go through discussions to get offered a high profile job like the HC at a major university.

Why do you talk so much and so confidently without knowing what you're talking about?

It's pretty easy to google "Mario Cristobal interview rutgers" .. "Mario Cristobal interview Pittsburgh" .. "Mario Cristobal interview Temple"

I love the thought. But Alabama has not been keeping the same staff for years. Saban just has his program fully implemented so it influences everything. Plus he has lots of money to make hires

I'm don't think AG would take an NFL gig, he likes working with kids and teaching football too much. its more fullfiling to him to create great young men and enjoy everything that is college football

Agree with Lu. Coley sees himself as a HC in two years, and is willing to go to a program like UCF to prove he can do it.

That may be the case, but some well connected insiders at FSU posted that part if the reason Coley want to move to Miami is Family, and that he wants to start a cigar business, and his wife a bridal shop.....so TFWIW. This exact information came from two separate people connected to the existing staff up there.

The cigar thing sounds very plausible.

All successful teams lose corches regularly. We start losing coordinators to the NFL or to HC gigs that's a good sign for UM.
