The most frustrating part

that's the unfortunate part of this season, this program is better in a lot of ways, many rooms have been improved. Miami/Cristobal left wins on the table

I really hope/pray/beg that Mario will evolve as a football coach

Could also argue FSU should/could have been a win if we scored TDs before and after halftime instead of field goals with some creative play calling.

UNC was just riddled with mistakes and fluke bad luck.

more and more I believe there are two types of coaches:

- guys who give you a 3-7 point advantage in certain games

- and guys who either win or lose a game for you every season, or lose one

Guess which one we've had this season?

Coaching has and will cost us multiple games. TVD played his heart out.

Mario Cristobal is now 5-10 in ACC play during his tenure at Miami. Lose to BC, and it’s the worst two-year stretch for a new coach since the 70’s.

Excuses and nuances aside... you are what your record says you are... a horrible hire for $ 80 million

100 percent you could argue FSU. We didn't even try to win that game. Our whole gameplan was don't f up on offense and let our defense win this one. It almost worked lol. Can you imagine if the offense actually tried to scheme in that game

Mario is a total dunce.... the whole season was a clusterf0k... juvenile mgmt decisions all around destroyed any possibility of salvaging the season after the GT debacle

And his blunders are every game

Many of which are the same mistakes game 2 game

That’s in addition to whiffing on his first 2 OCs and not bringing in a 4th scholly QB with even some moderate gsme experience

This is how I know you guys aren't objective. How anybody complains about the offense after today is a little silly IMO. When you put up 500 yards of offense and score 31 points you should win the football game.

Guidry and the defense got raped today.
You are a coach and you know football and I respect that. However this is not an issue of what the offense did overall in terms of total yards. Generally speaking the offense was very good but again that is not the issue here. Bill Walsh once said that in every game a coach has a handful of crucial decisions that will ultimately impact the game and go a long way towards determining the winner. Walsh then said that those key decisions are mostly offensive decisions.

This is where Mario really struggles. For example, up 21-14 with about 3:45 left in the half, Mario decides to play it safe and conservative. When faced with a 3rd and 2(or 3) We line up in a heavy run formation and run Fletcher right into a loaded box. No attempt to use play action or any counter off of that power run look. No, just right up the middle to get stuffed. We saw that too many times Saturday and that is the point. It's not that we had 500 yards of total offense. Nobody is mad at the offense. However people do get mad at some of the gutless and predictable decisions that are made at crucial points in the game that happen when we are on offense. See the difference? There are simply too many times a game where we don't even give ourselves a chance to challenge the defense.

I will happily take the wins vs GT & NCST. They should have been clear wins. That gives you 8 wins already going into the last game of the year at 8-3 despite the bad QB play.

To me the Louisville game is just football. Yes, a lot of coaching mistakes and we should’ve won but like UNC, ok, back and forth game and it happens at this stage in year #2 where you will lose games like this with the roster where it is and the coaching in place.

No doubt good, competent coaching elevates this team in its current form to 9-10 wins. Bad coaching & terrible QB play has it where it is.

I’ll add Dawson’s redzone playcalling is dog**** and ranked around 100th in the country

For the OL we have there’s no excuse for it…. None
