Off-Topic The Melting Pot: a Food Thread

for orlando, I actually like antonellas in winter park, brads underground for deep dish, and park pizza in lake nona airport area.

for miami, I haven't gotten to joes yet but I can't imagine it being as good as the NYC original, but andiamos is still one of my favorites, Steves for a late night slice
SoughDough in Orlando is absolute gas. You gotta try that spot.

Vegas has a ton of selections from some heavyweights in the industry but overall most of those offerings fall way short of the originals.
Yeah I was surprised I went to ***** Kitchen there not expecting it to be very good honestly

But it turned out to be a really good meal

But I know exactly what you mean, it’s kinda imported so you expect the quality to dip

I think deep dish is trash. I just can’t get down with it. That ain’t pizza imo.

Pizza in Fl is toilet water compared to the N.E..... the water in Fl is pure trash....hence the Pizza dough being crap. Even Miami Pizza that everyone raves about is so-so...
I can’t remember if it was you or someone else I’ve had this convo with. It has to be the water. The bread sucks in FL. Such a difference from what I get in CT/NY.

They don’t really use ketchup. Not much sauce and they use a creamy thick cheese called catupiri in addition to the mozzarella. May differ throughout the country. I spent a summer there but was in the Southern part called Parana.
What's Brazilian style exactly? I actually lived in Brazil for almost two years but all i remember is they put ketchup on and used a fork and knife. I didn't eat a ton of it but can't remember other big differences. I don't think they used much sauce but I could be wrong on that.
It's heavy on toppings. Pepperoni isn't common in Brazil, they use sausage mostly. Like TOCane mentioned they use catupiri cheese which is awesome.

Chicago Beef sandwiches in Chi-town deserve a culinary award every yr. Orlando's food scene, (aside from a few) is mediocre at best. I'm close friends with Chefs/owners Jim & Julie Petrakis....in my opinion, best restaurant in Orlando, and has been for a dozen yrs.
Chicago Italian beef sandwiches are the ****.

Wtf does that even mean??....Only a complete Moron would think the South has anything on the North in ref to Culinary fare. I'll put 2 Soul Food restaurants in NYC (one in Harlem) up against anything the South can offer.
More selfies, less culinary advise.
