Did anyone ever find out what the deal was? Just saw he was starting at LT for UCLA..

We sure could have used the depth. Makes no sense.

Wasn't he low on the depth chart and had fallen out of favor with the coaches? Not totally sure.

But I bet he'd be getting plenty of PT for us this season on the right side of the line. Whether it be guard or tackle.

Not sure either. He's had his struggles here but I would have had him penciled in as a starter. Didn't make sense then & looking at the depth chart, it definitely doesn't make sense now.

Sucks for them. I like him at guard, but we have all seen what happens when he has to kick step against a speed rusher.

Best of luck to him though, good kid.

He wanted to play for a winner rather than do the Kehoe shuffle.

Was it the Kehoe shuffle thing? Trying to avoid a flamefest so I'll ignore the bold.

Probably frustration that he had been passed on the depth chart last year, yet not looking ahead to see that even if not a starter he would get lots of playing time if he stuck around for this year. He also, in an interview, made a comment about how he loved his time here but he always wanted to have the big-school college atmosphere before he graduates and UCLA gave him that opportunity.

He seemed to be the 6th lineman here.Key backup at OT and G but not good enough to unseat the starters.Which now makes no sense since Godbois seems to have regressed since spring.

Got a buddy in the UCLA fold. They were amazed how out of shape Bunche was when he arrived. Their S & C guy is one of the best; he is the S & C guy that use to be in the NFL (I think with the Eagles) that came from out of bounds and made a tackle on the field. I'm guessing the guy has access to the good substances out on the West coast (not that you can't find it in Miami, i.e. A-Rod). Bunche's physical makeover is supposedly astounding. We shall see.

Bunchie was terrible here. He's an awful athlete. Stiff, slow and just terrible. The only thing he had was great size and strength.

Just because he's starting right now on a good team doesn't mean he's a good OL. It could mean that UCLA was hurting badly for OLinemens. UCLA ain't Bama or FSU when it comes to great talent and depth.
