Hey Canesinsight Community - had a horrible week - our house and everything we own was destroyed in the Palisades Fire. Was the most horrific apocalyptic experience and I was there literally watching it happen helplessly...but we'll be fine. We're better than most.

Today we get Carson Beck and my 13 year old son Shia texts me - "We got Carson Beck...It's great and the best part of my week. He's good dad." Sometimes the little things like this just make your week and you forget about all the other crap.

Go Canes - love this site and community.

PS - watch out for my son Shia - he's a QB and just got his first 2 D1 verbal offers this past month - Colorado State and Western Kentucky.

So sorry to hear this. Just awful, wishing you and your family a ton of strength as you recover. Congrats to your son on his first offers. Tell him to enjoy every second of the recruiting experience. It’s a blast

So sorry for your loss, tough to replace a home, tougher to replace the contents (especially the sentimental ones), but they all pale in comparison to losing a life!!! Your perspective is to be lauded & congrats on your son. You’ll be in our thoughts and prayers!!!
 
May God bless you and your family in this trying time. Hopefully the winds die down and fires extinguished so you can begin to rebuild.

Wishing you the best man. Had to evacuate for the big NorCal fires a few years back, but luckily it avoided us. But those pailed in comparison to this one, probably going to go down as most destructive and costly fires in a while. And it's estimated to be what like 10% contained smfh.

Sorry 4 ur loss brotha. A couple of my ppls loss everything in Altadena from the fires. Hoping & wishing u’re made whole, man. Most importantly, glad u & the family r safe. Hit my PM if u need any insurance ?’s answered.
