what's the word on the guys at linebacker? How are they looking in practice? They seem to be the group least talked about so far.

Perryman, Kirby, Johnson, and Paul
 
We have a lot of athletic bodies to throw at teams. I'm excited to see them play this season.

Perryman is gonna rip somebody in half.
 
I don't expect anything this year, but after seeing his pictures I'm sure curious as **** to see what we have in Jawand Blue. There's no question this should be an area of strength on this team... at least on paper.

The thing I like the most about Blue is I simply pictured him as a Hokie. That really annoying LB that makes entirely too many plays against us.
 
there is a reason we are not hearing much about the LB's, its because they are good, so i am glad we are not hearing much about them, the area's of concern are what we need to hear about and who is developing in those positions...
 
Blue looks like he ate a couple of walk on freshmen recently. Ditto for Eddie Johnson....we are going to be menacing at this position imo.

+1000000. lol. Hokies always come in with their no name 2 and 3 star players and FL leftovers and proceed to administer a beatdown. Just offer anyone they offer on defense from Florida, already.
 
I think RBuch is holding his ground right now but I think EJ might make it impossible for Gaines to get his position back after he recovers from his injury. Those are great signs that LB will no longer be a liability for us!

I love this group. Really believe Eddie Johnson will be very good. Tyrone Cornelius will be very good. Jimmy Gaines will be good. Paul will be solid. Buchanon will be relatively solid. And Perryman will be the star.
 
not having Spence is gonna hurt some, but i think Perryman will fill his role pretty well.

Sounds like a really solid LB core.. especially with Perry/EJ/Paul/Kirby being underclassmen
 
Bud Foster deserves a lot more credit than he gets. Still hate that *******.

Love the next guy up mentality. That's why the Canes in the 80's early 90's never wanted to miss time, they were worried they never get their job back.
