It was a lot of fun when you're beating the **** out of Notre Dame in a packed, roaring stadium. Not so much when you're getting your *** whooped in a baseball stadium by a G5 team.
This part right here.
When you put a chain on cuz you pulled a pick from the other team’s backup QB who is in because they’re up by 20+, you look like a clown![]()
It's fun when we're winning. Absolutely nothing is fun when you're losing, and it shouldn't be.It was a lot of fun when you're beating the **** out of Notre Dame in a packed, roaring stadium. Not so much when you're getting your *** whooped in a baseball stadium by a G5 team.
Buddy, do you realize how embarrassing a turnover chain would’ve been last season with that defensive showing? Or the one million TD rings we’d have given out? **** was fun but played.
To this point, you can forsure say the turnover chain was just something for other fan bases to mock when we were losing. But I’d argue it brought a ton of energy to the sidelines. After turnovers, the team would get super hyped knowing the chain was coming out. Does that kind of positive reinforcement and boost in team morale tangibly impact performance on the field? Maybe maybe not but it never hurt.It was a lot of fun when you're beating the **** out of Notre Dame in a packed, roaring stadium. When you put on the chain for the first time as a freshman, at home, in front of a bunch of friends and family, after picking off the #3 team in the nation and taking it back for a TD....Because you trusted your coach, assignment, and film study. You get to indulge in it for a few minutes on the sideline and celebrate as your offense is full of energy and ready to abuse the motivation.
I'm sorry but what was the score at that moment? And how does that compare to the multitude of times we busted out the TO chain while losing, most notably against Alabama. The TO chain is a caricature of what people (like yourself) think our "swagger"was back in the day.One of the most iconic hurricane moments is a guy running through the end zone for a touchdown, out of the playing field, into the tunnel, and coming out with double shooters.
Its not like Miami was known for being choir boys lol the showboating/gimmicks def was part of our culture in the 80s/90s and everyone loved it cause we were WINNING, losing sours everything and now we want miami to mirror UGA/Alabama or sum ****. If we were winning and competing for Natties I Promise you very few would be complaining about a turnover chain.. it is what is is tho let Mario build it his way.Mario has made his share of mistakes over the last three seasons but getting rid of the turnover chain upon his arrival was absolutely not one of them. Just look at what a mess this program was when Mario got here. Under Manny we were basically all gimmicks and zero substance. The turnover chain and touchdown rings were emblematic of our toxic culture. The first year was great but after that it became hackneyed and self indulgent. It was obvious that it had to go. This program desperately needed to build character.
Exactly EVERYTHING corny when u losing lol even start thinking to yourself like "these ol lame *** uniforms!"It was only corny cause we wasn’t winning ****![]()
Still got her number?Much like the bipolar nymphomaniac I dated after my divorce...
It was fun while it lasted.
