Does anyone remember that old show, the Most Extreme Elimination Challenge on Spike?

At the end of the show, they used to come out and scream “don’t get eliminated!”

For the last few weeks, every time I see a player go the other way, that phrase just rings in my head.
You told us the bottom fell out of this class & you weren't kidding. I member.

Here’s some food for thought after we’ve discovered Miami refuses to play the same game as UF, FSU (disgusting), Auburn, OU, Texas, A&M, and every other school overpaying market value: is winning this year more important for the boosters, or for the recruits?

I ask this because the more I think about it, one year of 9-3 or 8-4 doesn’t mean you’re back. It doesn’t even mean you’re a winning program - we of all people should know that. Look at Michigan State if you want another example of a HC that recruits well and allegedly has a strong NIL network. You have to stack winning seasons…3+ years minimum, to prove you’re building something. So if we win nine games this year…does this give the boosters that extra motivation to spend a little more? I hope that’s the case, but I’m not sold.

If we go 8-4 or 9-3 but the class still stays in that 15-16 range because we won’t outbid other programs for kids, well then we’re just going to be stuck in purgatory until we either show enough proof this is a winning program, or until we decide to spend some more money. Other programs won’t stop spending because guess what - it’s working right now, and they’ll continue to get more money and more funding.

They've probably been assured they're part of the BIG so they can stop pretending to care about football. They can now cash in on their fake promises to the league and go back to collecting checks and being cheap ******** and adding zero value for another 20+ years.

I'm not so sure the problem is they're not willing to over spend for studs,my fear is the money just isn't there. My guess is most of the money went to keeping the current players from transferring. And now with Ruiz running out of money and the Mas brothers mostly focused on Messi and the soccer stadium project.Let's not forget we are the same school that was begging people during commercials of home games to donate so we could even finish the IPF.

A lot of you guys need to chill the fck out.

Stop taking sunshine recruiting updates as gospel you’re like battered wives.

We’ll see what happens on the field. Results on the field can make Miami an exciting destination again. When we’re winning our brand is as big as any in the country.

We’ve also had less success in the last 15 years than every school we’re competing with for recruits. Last season set us back but we can make up for it by winning this season

Do you really think we are flipping 4/5* guys and winning recruiting battles even if we overachieve and win 9 games this year?

This is a multi-year rebuild and if the NIL spigot is at a drip instead of full blast we are in trouble.

Can't make chicken salad out of chicken ****.

I think we can flip guys and win more recruiting battles and more importantly I think our suck tax will go way down for next years class.

If we still had Ruiz throwing around huge money for kids Mario could probably go the A&M route again, but it looks like he and our staff actually have to do a good job this year with the talent they have.

All the btching and moaning on fan forums isn’t going to change that. The people crying like the sky is falling need more hobbies. Hope for the best this season. It’ll get better if we win games and play well

They brought back Takeshi's Castle on after 35 years on Amazon Prime which is what MXC is dubbed over.
