Isendre Ahfua is the OL we want along with Moritz “Big Schmo” Schmoranzer who the staff just evaluated and moved to the top per "The Bank" on 6/26. That would give us 3 in the 2024 class and maybe they sign a 4th.

If we can win 8 games, but only get 22-25 recruits, it won’t be that hard to get the better transfer people to jump on board.

We could get 8ish more people from the portal and really hit the ground running at the start of 2024. But on field performance is the biggest thing this year. 8 wins and everyone is on the hype-train next season.

Haven’t even touched on the Alabama/Texas/A&M/Auburn/OU quintet that’s lurking. Arkansas has a decent class right now. Mississippi St is sneakily on par.

Point is, that’s not good enough to be considered an elite recruiting class. It’s good, but it’s FSU-level.

They need to take the next step on the field to take the next step on the trail. Even OU has only 7 or 8 commits. Players maybe skeptical about them as well after that torrid season where they got smoked a few times, so we dont exist in a vacuum either.

Yeah I just want people to temper their expectations. I personally don’t think this has the makings of a top seven class pre-season, but Mario can (and has) proven everyone wrong before. I still have faith, despite the metrics being less favorable as it stands.

Now…win 8 games without losing to Clemson and FSU by 30+? All bets are off. We could flip plenty of guys and get steamrolling into 2024. Top seven for sure, top five seriously watch out. Wholeheartedly believe that. Also why it’s futile to fully panic in June.

Btw i said it before and say it again, u cant tout how much effort and resources u putting into DL recruiting and strike out. Sorry.

U must get 3 of the elite rated players, Scott, Stone, Stewart, Breland, Franklin and Simmons, thats 50%. Then fill the class with other borderline elite DL, Jones, McCray, Lightfoot etc. Thats what yall been building all spring, thats why there was free pool party for Mother's Day at Cristobal's house etc. For me to consider it success

I didnt set these expectations, thats what came out from people on ths board, even Wiltfong . We want the best DL class in the nation. JT could be recruiter of the year. Lets see it.

If u give me top 2 or 3 DL class within a top 10 overall class am good.
