I want to know if the top 4 DT are all healthy and fast twitch -- Moten, Blay, Scott and Horton? That position group is not deep enough. Anyone else looking like they'll push there?

Bain and jones

That would be an interesting move. We just moved Mesidor back to DE from DT. Are we sure 3 Tech is Bain's spot, and does he want to move there?

Assuming Bain does move down and we expect him to be an immediate starter, then I have the same question at DE. After Mesidor, we have Bryant and a bunch of highly talented but unproven second years (and first years). I think you have to play them, they're too good to portal in an Alston or Barron type in front of them. But if that's the case, I better be hearing some Greentree AA talk about multiple guys there.

@Hstokes1447 , not saying you're wrong about Blount. He could make that leap. But is he even 18 yet? We have so many guys at DE, need to read some lies being said about them.

Blount was clearly not ready to contribute last year at 17 years old

Tons of players have benefited off that 5th year Covid year

The 5th-year really helps football players, giving them time to evolve from boys to men.
This is especially crucial for the linemen.
However, good luck assuming players will stick around your program for 5 years, especially those
which were highly-recruited.
So if one is going to undergo the trouble to recruit these so-called 4 and 5-star players, you better
find them a role and get them on the field ASAP unless you're good with them transferring out within 1-3 years and, in many cases such as the Alabamas and Georgias, they don't have an issue
with this because they stockpile talent every year, but most schools can't afford this luxury.
Times have changed the last 10-15 years and one has to rethink redshirting philosophy.

Messidor and Bain game are different. Bain is a naturally strong guy and plays with power and technique. Messidor has teeener size but he isn’t as strong and powerful as Bain. I think bain best position is inside but I do think he would prefer to play DE at least he had said that coming out of hs
