He's not even the highest rated LB or DE in their class right now.
So?

While I agree that they may fight harder to keep one of their 5* types…Alford could have pretty much picked his school outside of a top school that also didn't need a lot of backers this year or hit a home run really early at the position.

Mario does a god job of keeping guys from decommitting.

The problem is that the guys hes flipping are overated. People think its huge when we flip someone from Ohio State.

Its not. Do you think OSU would let an impact player leave?

He's not flipping these guys as much as they're original schools are pushing them out.

Look at the LB committed to OSU right now. Alford. Now look at their whole class. He's not even the highest rated LB or DE in their class right now. But its supposed to be a big deal that we got him?

He'd be the second highest rated guy in our class. He's like the 8th or 9th for OSU.

Mario doesn't have us in play for the correct guys.

Mark Fletcher, Lyle , Justin sCOTT ARE OVERRATED?

LOL @ DO YOU THINK OSU WOULD LET AN IMPACT PLAYER LEAVE....AS IF THEY HAD A CHOICE

Alfrord and Carter are at the top of the staffs board…….. the 247/On3 rankings don’t align with teams boards. These guys are high 4 stars in the eyes of a lot of programs. Their tape speaks for itself

Baxter, David Stone, and Jeremiah probably hurt the most of all.
Those weren’t flips though

I think to what @OldhamA was saying, Mario does a good job laying it out there and not taking commitments that are flimsy

People would constantly ***** we don’t get commitments while visiting weekends are happening but it seems to pay off

Not that Mario hasn’t made big misses, or you’ll get a recruit to flip sure, just saying he’s pretty good at hanging on to people for a reason. We have enough data

Fletcher is absolutely an impact player.

Lyle has flashed, and Scott remains to be seen. You think OSU is pushing Alford out?!? LOL. Awful take here.

Tbh Fletcher was a good pick up, Lyle has shown promise and hopefully Scott emerges as a monster DT

Alford is a very good LB as well.

I much rather be flipping Ohio State commits than guys from like NC State or some other lowly program

But I agree, Mario needs to be landing way more Top 50 blue chip recruits

Not necessarily that they're pushing him out, but they're not going to lose sleep if he leaves.

Its not what people want to hear, but the best LBs in the nation aren't knocking down the door to come play in this scheme.

Guys we "flip" from the bigger schools are more likely to end up as over-rated.

I don't give a single **** whos on top of the staffs board.

Look at their track record and development in 3 years of bringing in 75 HS recruits.

They have 7 or 8 guys across the 2-deep who contribute on team that rotates a lot. After 3 cycles.

Maybe we should have different guys on the top of our board.

You already struck out ****ting on our previous OSU flips... why are you still prognosticating on future flips?
