LB is really looking up. Keep Nix, land Alford and hopefully Wiley! Let them develop behind Popo, Pruitt, and the dude we flipped from uif.
Gotta keep Moore as well! We need are in need of a receiver like that.

This should let you know that recruiting battles have always been about money.

We obliterated UF & are the reason why their season completely fell off the rails. You would think that holds weight in the eyes of recruits, but as you can see... It don't.

Facts!!! FSU fans are seeing that right now. Their media guys are blaming the 1-9 season for their poor recruting but FSU fans know its because their NIL is nowhere near of those like Miami, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee etc... FSU went 23-3 or something like that in 2 years and recruited like crap

It doesn’t have anything to do with that lol
Yeah it does performance plays into it as much as NIL. If NIL packages are close they're gonna consider where they will get better developed. Trust me, I want to see us succeed in snagging these guy's but I am also realistic to know that they are a legit challenge to us getting them.

FSU is broke and they’ve got a cornball for a head coach

They ****ed

You might be able to overcome “some” money issues with a really good relationship head coach and you can definitely overcome a lame recruiter with money

But if you have neither you’re in a bad way

Anyone can be outbid. The worst you are the more you have to pay. The question is, will UF really enough to land all 3.
We've had to pay the "suck tax" the last 2 years. Showcasing a better product this year should help us. On the other the hand, Florida will need to pay that tax notwithstanding what recruits think of DJL.

brown and hanks I just think thats tough to pull kids from their dad's program. Hanks is the more likely to flip imo.
I honestly wish them the best. cant get mad at them if they go to rebuild their dad's program.i hear brown is a great kid.

Don’t worry. If UM misses on all the DB targets, I’m sure Cristobal will recognize the deficiencies and address it through the portal.

Billy haven't even been better than 6-6 in year 3 and people worried about them on the trail, make it make sense
To be fair, look at our 2022 and 2023 record. We had back to back stacked classes. Unfortunately in this era, having a lot of NIL will most likely outweigh the win column. However, people shouldn't be worried about our class. Mario will do his thing

I been telling them for years they won’t listen. Next year they will say we have to win to get that particular recruit. They goofy

With two weeks until Early Signing Day, here is the latest on the recruiting trail:

- I've been talking about six "battleground recruits" that will make or break this finish. Expand the list to seven- Miami is in the mix for WR Dallas Wilson (Oregon commit).

- The Canes continue to position themselves to flip LB TJ Alford (Vero Beach) from Ohio State.

- A week ago, it looked like Ohio State was in a good position to retain DT Jarquez Carter (Newberry). Miami has made up significant ground there and is a real threat to flip.

- There is a growing belief that ATH DJ Pickett (Riverview) will not sign with LSU. I expect this to be the most highly publicized battle down the stretch and the Canes have many things working in their favor.

- The Canes will continue to fight for CB Ben Hanks (Booker T) and WR Vernell Brown (Orlando) but those are tough battles. Miami also really likes LB Kellen Wiley (Seffner, FL).

- The Gators are spending Napier's buyout money on recruits and attempting to ride the momentum of DJ Lagway. They also have money left over from years of whiffs. They are in the mix for Pickett and Wilson. They are also pushing for WR Josh Moore (West Broward), who has been holding strong to his Miami commitment and has perhaps the best WR film in the state as a senior.

This is why you recruit blue chip high school qb's. Judd Andersons of the world aren't moving the needle for recruits.

Been saying this for years. The whole “win and they will come” has always been a horrible take. It’s the money. Probably even more for the parents than the kids…
