What if he gains another 10-15 lbs that would put him around 290-295,can he still play DE at that weight.
You don’t break what’s fixed. Bain could stay at 275 and do exactly what he’s doing now. We don’t force someone inside you find a way to recruit. Wayne is showing flashes outside. Collins either helps off the edge or moves inside and causes chaos. What would be great is if Taylor came back with Harrison Hunte add Burroughs Moton in the mix. Close on Jones and add 2-3 portal kids. Add the pitt commit close on Lucas and Lyle and portal corners

Rodriguez is Lees first backup and has already played as his replacement (and played well).

You don't want centers to be big.
You don’t want centers to be big….because that’s just how things are, or for an actual reason?

Markell bell is massive. Even though we got Mauigoa and Okunlola last year a front tier offensive lineman coming here is big. Am I right?
Always a good thing. I don't know where we slot Bell, Okulola, Kinsler, and McCoy but not a bad problem to have at all. The amount of time McCoy gets as a 6th linemen and all the comments make you think he is ready for a bigger role. Hopefully at least one of these can move inside to create room as Rivers and Cohen leave.

Centers predominantly assist on double teams in the run game and pass off interior rushers along with their guards. Which is why Tite fronts were created to attack just that.

Matt Lee is 6'4 295. I don't think anyone this season is complaining about him being undersized compared to the other guys we have.

Center is the more interesting position if Matt Lee leaves. Rodriguez came in earlier in the year, but like if we were making a pure top 5 Olineman on roster assuming we get Bell, Rodriguez would probably not be in that conversation.

So I think we probably end up seeing Kinsler or McCoy competing for that spot. They’d both be on the larger end of the Center spectrum though.

Okunlola - Bell - Kinsler - Cooper - Mauigoa

(If the entire left side leaves)

I mean I guess Jalen River technically still has like 2 more years, so I could see him starting at Center lol. Like if Samson is good enough to be a starter I’d prefer him at Lt and moving Rivers wherever that 5th spot is… (competion between Bell and Kinsler at that point)

edit: god **** look at how absolutely massive that oline would be lol... Would literally be increasing current avg size of our OLine from the already massive 6'5" 318 lbs to 6'6.5" 329 lbs.

LT: Okunlola - 6'6" 300Lbs
LG: Bell - 6'8" 340Lbs
C: Kinsler - 6'6" 340LBs
RG: Cooper - 6'6" 350LBs
RT: Mauigoa - 6'6" 315LBs.

6th Man: McCoy - 6'6" 290Lbs

They should source a new center via the portal if the heir apparent isn't on the roster, but I'm intrigued by Mauigoa at C.
