Jesus that guy can get some recruits. Beyond me how he got GibbsHe chose Ga Tech. That **** Geoff Collins
He getting a bunch of atlanta area recruits that ga tech CANT get in recruiting and dont have the talent ability to start elsewhere to come back homeJesus that guy can get some recruits. Beyond me how he got Gibbs
I was just telling my mom last week, if Georgia State woulda started football when I was leaving HS (class of 06) I woulda went there, even if I had to walk-on. I'm not now, and never have been smart enough to go to Ga Tech. Going to college in DT Atlanta would have been so fun.He getting a bunch of atlanta area recruits that ga tech CANT get in recruiting and dont have the talent ability to start elsewhere to come back home
If you know you know Ga Tech aint a bad sell...Its f*ckin Atlanta..the Black MECCA. That being said that school footballw isde is like 3rd or 4th on the list of importance in their own state.
I just graduated from Morehouse.. 404 got so much talent plus ATL a great city to be in for a college kid. Take them to magic city for a visit and get some Lou Williams lemon pepper wings.. that’ll have 90% of kids soldHe getting a bunch of atlanta area recruits that ga tech CANT get in recruiting and dont have the talent ability to start elsewhere to come back home

Coming out of high school i committed to an HBCU in ATLANTA because of my visit over going to a few FCS programs with offers like Eastern Kentucky, Tenn State, USF, ETC.I just graduated from Morehouse.. 404 got so much talent plus ATL a great city to be in for a college kid. I wonder if we even tried.
The man never lied. I live in Atlanta and GT has been trying to make a push as the 404’s team. Billboards all over. And to be fair, the school is in the HEART of the city, right next to the connector. I think Collins is doing a really good job building the program and transitioning out of Paul Johnson’s bush league offense.Coming out of high school i committed to an HBCU in ATLANTA because of my visit over going to a few FCS programs with offers like Eastern Kentucky, Tenn State, USF, ETC.
Its an easy sell if the kids have the grades. Even more so for the back water /country bumpkin ga kids and north florida kids that arent getting recruited by the big 3 or auburn.
They can land some of those and an occasional metro atlanta stud lik the Gibbs kid they got now that UGA doesnt want.
They previously did it when they had Calvin Johnson and company.
In my opinion, I don't think they'll ever move higher than that because of the student base they have. It's too hard to get into that school, and unlike Miami's history of success, Ga Tech doesn't have a sustained period of dominance that Atlanta area people can attach to.The man never lied. HOWEVER, this city in some order is Georgia then Bama, Auburn, Tennessee, UF, and maybe FSU, then GT. They are far, far down the pecking order of fans even in their own city.
It’s crazy but Gibbs would be the best back on Georgia’s rosterComing out of high school i committed to an HBCU in ATLANTA because of my visit over going to a few FCS programs with offers like Eastern Kentucky, Tenn State, USF, ETC.

It will be a tough climb for all the reasons you mentioned, but unlike those other schools they have the built in benefit or location. There is a big pool to pull players the bigger schools pass on or transfers like Watson. The academics side definitely makes it a bigger challenge, but they almost need to approach recruiting like UCF. Northwestern was a pretty good analogy, but with more kids coming out or Georgia and the surrounding states than Illinois. In my opinion, I don't think they'll ever move higher than that because of the student base they have. It's fascinating to see schools in major metros try to make the claim as its city's team. Northwestern does it with Chicago, SMU does it with Dallas, now Georgia Tech with Atlanta. But Northwestern will never beat out the Big 10 teams and Notre Dame up there, SMU won't beat out Texas A&M or the Big 12 schools, and Georgia Tech has all the schools you mentioned and more to deal with.
But they certainly can try.
Da House! Morehouse Man here as well.I just graduated from Morehouse.. 404 got so much talent plus ATL a great city to be in for a college kid. Take them to magic city for a visit and get some Lou Williams lemon pepper wings.. that’ll have 90% of kids sold
You know the deal. I mean the college is in PERFECT LOCATION, NICE STADIUM EVERYTHING.The man never lied. I live in Atlanta and GT has been trying to make a push as the 404’s team. I don't think UCF works because they're the opposite of Ga Tech in terms of selectivity. UCF is letting everybody in lol.It will be a tough climb for all the reasons you mentioned, but unlike those other schools they have the built in benefit or location.
