Texas A&M's #1 class of all time ... 3 years later

Jimbo went full on mercenary mode that year - several of those 5* kids were low character kids. It’s one thing to gamble on 1 and hope the team culture can help him to grow - but it’s another when almost half of the top end of your class are known kids with behavioral issues. Stewart/Marshall/Harris/Bouie - like that’s 4 of your top 8-9 kids in the class and all were suspended at some point. Like Bouie isn’t even in a program right now - UGA sent him home before season even started last year and that’s saying something
UF will be that team.

UGA, Texas, Oregon, even Ohio state know what they are doing.

Absolutely, if you remember that season, they beat Alabama and after that all those big money Texas boosters went all in on that recruiting class for them and it turned out like crap. Lol Recruiting is always a gamble, sometimes you hit and sometimes you miss!
Can’t put this all on the kids, I mean character and IQ are important, but coaching and teaching are equal parts. These guys by and large won’t figure CFB out for themselves. Leadership is should be top down, so it can be extended from the middle out. Development and culture is not a myth. It’s hard work, done by coaches and teachers and everyone working together and from the same page, IMO🙌🏽

Wow! That's an insane bust rate... and probably cost them $20 million.

Ironic part is Shemar Stewart is still there and starting... wouldn't have put money on that lol
The one guy on that list we were desperate for.

Maybe our evals ain't that bad.
