It’s time to call a spade a spade. That account is just a running receipt machine of how CFB fans are disturbed and delusional individuals. I’m starting to think it the root of all the problems in the country.

The amount of stupid that permeates fan bases is alarming.

Idk why I didn’t think most fans were dumb as sh*t, but man I severely underestimated it lol

U know, for all the bag talk, 8&4, UT, & a sneaky program, Arkansas have no excuses not to have a top 5 class every year & winning at an elite level.

The Texas schools have that old Texas-Gold $, & Arkansas have the whole Walton Family, Jerry Jones, Ricardo Martinelli, & John Tyson (just to name a few).

It’s frightening as it shows fans will ignore all and any evidence that doesn’t doesn’t paint their team in the highest of regards. At that point it’s not just confirmation bias, it’s utter detachment from reality.

fwiw the Waltons don’t really support the university anymore. Unbelievable as it may seem, they burned that bridge. It’s a civil and somewhat normal relationship now. They’re not all in anymore.

My brotha, not to derail but still on topic; belief is a helluva drug. Anything that compromises emotions, despite evidence provided, can be excused, rationalized, & justified all in the name of hope. Hope is a powerful tool if it’s tempered w/ reasonable expectations from tangible data.

When I come across a fanatic vs. a fan (& yes, fan is the shortened form of fanatic, but there is a stark difference between the two), I stay away. Fanatics think unreasonably & w/o sense. They’re liable to do anything, & I’m not just talking about fanatics regarding sports. When I see a convo going somewhere else, I promise u I’m in a defense/attack mode internally b/c I know who I’m interacting w/ is emotionally compromised. Truth be told, my pops is a fanatic Laker fan, & bro really wanted smoke w/ me when I called out a dumb play by Kobe yrs ago. So now, I stay my distance on that topic b/c he’s unhinged in his belief system. He’s much better, but still.

Interesting. My frat’s daughter just graduated from Arkansas w/ her masters & they’re still talked about quite glowingly. Must’ve been pretty recent, b/c I know a couple years ago, they made a pretty sizable donation to AU of like $190m. Wonder what happened.

They didn’t accept one of the kids. The family has all the money in the world to burn, but the whatever the university wants is over. You could probably Google it or ask people close to the university and get the entire story. Crazy stupid to upset them

Sometimes it's stupidity. I think most of the time it's emotion over reason. I've read some frightening takes from very smart individuals. The operant word is "fan." The fanaticism makes people get wrapped up in their views. It happens. They just need to click on more Ads is all.

That was for all types of research. I don’t believe any of it went to athletics.

No cure for stupid either. I’ve been around one of the dumbest fan bases on the planet for over 35 years. VOL4life!

If you've ever seen any recent documentaries, the younger generation of Waltons are just cashing checks. I don't think they've had any interest in the U of Arkansas.

I could see Jerry Jones, but he's got a lot tied up in his stadium.
