I have no clue if it was intended but I took the reactions as just "football talk or business like".
Heaps must be at the local bar getting sauced.
Not likely. He's from Utah and played at BYU. What about those facts that you don't understand?
I saw the same **** under Coker and Shannon. And way worse at times in Shannon 's first seasonCheck time of possession last year. We were UNDER 26 to the other teams' 34+. Now tell me the O wasn't running the D into the ground. They were playing more than half a quarter more per game than the O, because the O couldn't convert 3rd downs. I'm not saying I like the D performance, but when you are thin on depth, talent, and experience, being on the field 34+ minutes a game will take a severe toll.Stupid **** like this boils the blood. Defense ran into the ground because of No D.Kaaya wont be worse than morris. That dummy lost the team and the defense was partially run into the ground because of him.
While I would have phrased it differently, I agree with the notion that the O ran the D into the ground. Its not srupid if its the truth
As many 3 and outs as there were - they were just gassed all too often.

Is this why the team doesn't seem excited about Kaaya?
Kaaya needs to earn their respect. Win and they will follow.
Part of the issue with the players is that they found out from the media rather than their coaches. They were put in a bad spot to answer questions about something/decision they didn't know about. And let's face it who wins the starting QB battle is a big deal for the team.
IMHO The players should have been told before the media.
Those boys want to win. I think they, like me, are very skeptical about putting any true frosh behind center in that environment. But, you got to defer to the coaches. Really ballsy move and no way they make it unless Kaaya is the goods. If he wins this game and performs admirably, this team will go to war for that kid.
I find the players' reactions a bit puzzling given what has been said by those who watch practice. Usually, you want to ride with the guy who's playing better, but I do understand that these guys probably think in absolute terms like "older and experienced is more likely to be successful in X situation." I don't find that to be necessarily true, but I understand their perspectives.
I can understand why the players are not really feeling Kayaa. They want to win now and you never know how a freshman will handle the pressure under the lights.
Heaps need to be ready because Kayaa will have a short leash.
no he won't
On Monday night he will. You best believe he will have a short leash. The unknown variable is how a player responds when the lights are on. If he gets rattled they will pull him.
Nothing against Kayaa but you don't leave him out there to tank. If our defense is getting shredded again our QB, whoever it is needs to ball out.
You think Pertrino is not going to come gunning for Kayaa?
If people were genuinely being ******** about that and not using logic (which could be used in this battle) then they aren't worth addressing anyways. For all you ****ees who gave me **** about saying Kaaya would be the guy and that Heaps is insurance. Suck it. It was clear who was better.
