2025 Tarvos “TJ” Alford II LB from Ft. Pierce sticks w/OSU

Idk about other boosters, but I know for a fact the mas family won’t be putting up the same amount of money as they did this year, they’re counting every penny with deadlines due for the new stadium and that came directly from them to a friend currently working with them on that project. I wonder where they rank and how much that’ll affect our class and the portal.
The Mas family is worth BILLIONS... I have no idea how much they give towards the football program but it can't be more than a few million per year. I doubt they're changing what they give to the school. Especially after they went and brought Mario.

One million is 1/1000th of 1 billion. If they give $5 million now and going to $4 million that'd be like somebody with $1000 changing what they give from $5 to $4.

overspending only exists when we lack money. There’s no salary cap and we might not have a top 10 class this year we’re spending on.
It can. Using made up numbers - let's say Stubbs wanted $2.2M after being offered that by Florida and Patterson was on a $800K deal. So you say yes and Stubbs comes aboard. Now you need to bump Patterson up.

And you've set the floor for the 2026 safeties.

And 1 of the brothers flew to Oregon and convinced Mario to leave a great situation there and come here.If that dude is pulling back financial support Mario is toast.
I wasn’t even aware of that I know Rudy wanted Mario bad and was a big part of getting him here. Hopefully since he’s over seeing uhealth and university affairs now he pumps some uhealth money into the program uhealth sure pays them a lot for marketing and activations.

you could be absolutely right I have no idea the amount just sharing what I was told today and wondering if that amount is enough for us to be more money conscious when it comes to spending in recruiting and why we might be losing out on certain kids that feel like we would of closed on last year.

There are pictures of them in a private jet when Mario came back.

they are definitely loaded. they are HUGE political donors too.

Mas family is absolutely fine. Stock market has been treating them very nicely.

I want them to buy the Dolphins.

I know some guys have some inside info here....and I also know this finish stunk on the field and off the field with regards to HS Recruits compared to last year.

But I refuse to believe the group of people who were all in on Mario, who came out after last year and were 100% positive, are now all the sudden pulling funds back after a 10-2 season, with next year hopefully being the year the last two classes start to show the success, a first round qb this year, the #1 offense, and some pieces on defense (I do agree change is needed there at the top).

Now if we go back to 8 wins in 25' and 26' then the narrative will change.

But you dont invest if something you love and after the best season in recent memory say "ok I'm good now." Maybe at worst say ok we will match last year but we need another 10 win type season next year.

But with regards to the overall landscape of NIL I still do think its going to come back to earth in the coming years..sure a big time transfer qb or some freak high school DT may command a big dollar amount but beyond that other dollars figures will start to come back down. Coaches and teams will also stop playing the game and call your bluff. Much like the NFL colleges arent going to need to pay half a million for some high school running back or 6'4 215 lb DE. Who tore up high school.

I don’t necessarily agree with this take. You are always going to have programs that way overpay for recruits like we’re seeing from Florida and Oregon this cycle.

I think there will always be outliers that throw off the average NIL. Clearly Florida is offering kids more money to pull our commitments, Tennessee, Texas, FSU, etc.

no. UF is going next level. Oregon pays well like Texas. **** we are competitive. what UFis doing is desperate.

I also don't buy that the rich folks who forked over $$$s to sign last year's HS and portal class after the GTech debacle, somehow decided going 10-2 but not winning the ACC/going to playoff was their line in the sand. Buy it even less when you take into account that every rich person in America is much richer today than one year ago.

it's a bs narrative. we didnt counter on stubbs. we paid on wiley and Moore. we will pay for Alford or Pickett.

What has UF paid for? Stubbs? They have a bunch of 3 stars! All that money to finish 11th. I can’t wait to beat their *** again
yeah and stubbs might be a bust.

they just got French, Josh Moore, and Dallas Wilson paid more
