Talk lately has me a little nervous about 2020 football season. Thoughts?

Do you think we will play football in 2020?

"somebody" sent me this and you are posting it? Why. Anybody can post anything on the net. There is little truth on the internet now
You don’t have to watch it bubba. That’s why I said worth the watch if you’re interested. If not, pass on it. And BTW, everything is truth on CIS, you know, the site you’re on now.

There's an entire thread about the flick over on the COVID-19 board, no need to spread that crap to the football board in a thread that has nothing to do with it, bubba.

Ah. Promoted one too many conspiracy theories, I presume? Wait, couldn't have been that...that place is awash in conspiracy theories, lol.
There was a great purge a little while back. There were many people excluded. There's a list in the KTDT thread I think. One poster was allowed back in exchange for @RVACane agreeing to be a mod.

That shouldn't surprise anyone. There's no chance they play football if students aren't back on campus. As much as it is a professional sports league, the NCAA is still trying to act like it isn't, so putting football players on a field while schools are shuttered will never fly. Students will be back though, so we will play.

Skoolz can't afford not to have students paying tuition, housing, books, etc.

I hope you’re right.

I also see this as a way of Emmert giving cover to schools like Alabama, where you know they’re going to have students back for sure, so if that they play, and other schools decide to stay online for the fall, at least Alabama has cover.

I think we're probably seeing this similarly.

Emmert and the NCAA are just puppets of the schools like Goodell is a puppet of the NFL owners. Both like to pretend like they're some sort of independent governing body, but they're not.

The NCAA does what the P5 schools tell it to do. Whatever that stuffed shirt POS Emmertt is saying is coming from his bosses in the SEC.

Exactly my thoughts.

This is not some crackpot way of thinking. The SEC is his and the NCAA’s cash cow.

As well as his own personal, professional and prior monetary and employment relationship with SEC schools.

I mean it’s not even hiding in plain sight. It’s blatantly out there for all to see.
