But do we ever wanna purposely be in a position where we're knowingly negatively affecting our team? Of course not. I don't have all the answers but a Lil brainstorming is in order.

If kids are telling you they're being swayed away from Miami by a few guys on a message board, then you can be certain they're looking for reasons not to come here. They probably don't want to tell you that because they know you love UM. So they make up nonsense about 20 guys on a message board squabbling.

What the **** do 20 guys on a message board complaining about our busted offense have to do with the direction of the program or any of that?

Our last NC was in 2001, so let's see, the average age of today's soph or jr. is what 16 or 17? In 2001 that kid was maybe swimming in a school of sperm or in diapers. He may hear about the Canes of old from a coach, dad or uncle - but right now he sees and hears what it is, and it is what it is. My poster from that 2001 game is under glass but turning yellow. We hope that CMR is the savior or at least a new beginning. He has said it will take 2 years. What's another two years compared to the last 10 or so?

If you believe a handful of maniacs on CIS are affecting recruits' decisions, then you must be really naive. There are passionate fans on every board who call out their coaches.

We have been told that this impacted recruits in the past. People mocked it. People mock it again. Trolling, hijinx and negativity are unnecessary on the recruiting board. The program is trying to sell a future to these recruits and we haven't been winning so it based on playing time, hope and the new staff.

So instead of making excuses for Tom Herman or pointing out how LSU may have instantly improved while we bash our coaches 100 different ways maybe we could cut the bull**** and actually talk football instead of being ****s about it because we want to show we were right about this coach sooner than the last.

Rick should easily be able to spin the offensive failings on personnel deficiencies. Most UM fans are doing that. Not all agree. I understand the desire to question everything as in a lot of instances I do it myself. But I also use logic when I sit back at a distance & try to interpret the bigger picture. For instance this comment about 20 people on a website. Just because in this instance it's simply a few people on a website doesn't mean it lacks substance. Hence those same fanatics flew a banner last year... although it sortve helped to achieve the bigger goal on a different time frame it also helped us all look like *** holes who don't really care about supporting our program. Sometimes it's simply symbolism. When you're choosing to be one of those twenty you're consciously choosing to be apart of much more.

Alabama is a juggernaut of a program now. Kids look the other way. Don't care what their fans do when they are winning like that. We need all the help we can get.

True...this happens on BAMA CONFIDENTIAL all the time. They talk cash **** about Saban, Kiffin, and the players that ***** it up.

Then I am sure the IPF is paid off and ready to be built? I mean, that is something the fans can help with who are so outraged. Also if you want an OC then you can also donate 2 or 3 million a year to coaches salaries through the university. Also showing up to ever home and away game.

I have donated (not much) to the program and the IPF, I have attended every home game and attended games in GT and ND (this week). Sorry I can't donate the "millions" you believe will save this program. Either way, Richt has the funds and support to bring in better coaches if he wishes.

nobody said we are the worst, they just made it a point to say stuff about this site in particular... im guessing there was other chatter as well... since this is a Miami site my guess is he just wanted to point that out cause it applied to us


i like what Brooklyndee is saying, i think showing a positive side even when things are tough will be a nice thing for these recruits to see... shows that we have faith in our boys regardless of circumstances, i know i do... Richt n staff cant win with what Folden n Friends left behind, its gonna take a recruiting cycle or 2 before The U can bring in the certain style of players they want that will match what they want to do... as of right now there are maybe 4-5 players on each side of the ball that TRULY fit this new offense/defense, that makes it tough when there is zero depth
