Style Points Matter not Strength of Schedule,

Just wanna start a new thread on this topic.....

The perception of how "good" Miami truly is in the eyes of everybody including some Miami fans is the way it is, not b/c of how we played against UNC. Most teams have games like that every season where they have to find a way to win, when everything is going wrong.

What's going on is the fact that Al Golden is to nice of a Head Coach.... he is too concerned w/ worrying about other ppl, who already talk **** about Miami, and not wanting them to say we are being "poor sports", and he just thinks that all that matters is the W, not stats or the scoreboard.

That notion has distorted the perception of this team b/c now everyone thinks that Miami has struggled like we did against UNC, w/ every team on our schedule.... The Florida game Miami was up 21-9 late in the 4th, but then the defense starts playing Prevent, w/ 3 minutes left in the game, like the game was over. So the final score ends up bein 21-16 and now everyone is saying "Florida turned the ball over 5 times but only lost by 5 points"

Agains USF.... Miami was up 49-7 going into the 4th quarter. The Final Score ends up being 49-21. Al Golden was so concerned about "embarrassing" a team that didnt give a **** about us, that he was subbing players out in the 3rd and Miami didnt score at all in the 4th while allowing USF to score 2 extra TDs. Now that game looks closer then it really was, when the score shouldve been around 70-14. Stephen Morris wanted us to keep running up the score, but Al Golden didnt.

Against GT....the score was 45-23 w/ 1:08 seconds left. Instead of just letting the starters just play out the final 60 seconds, Al subs everyone out and lets that POS Paul Johnson score a latte TD w/ 10 seconds left in the game.

My point is Style Points Matter..... it has nothing to do w/ Strength of Schedule, every team in CFB has a debatable SOS.

Bama blows out that garbage Arkansas team 52-0, Miami wouldve let them score 21 points just so they wont feel bad.... that type of stuff makes us look worse. Jimbo was blowing out Clemson in the 3rd quarter and still didnt want them to score another point. Miami needs to get on that level and Al Golden is the only one that can make that happen.
