Strongest memory of 2012 season

1) Everything in the GT game.
2) NC State bomb.
3) Duke Johnson's first TD run.
4) Perryman destroying Nick O'Leary
5) Duke vs. Duke

And worst memory...
1) Dorsett drop vs Notre Dame
2) Clements fumble vs KSU.
3) Williams attempting to lead a comeback vs UNC.

Dorsett's game winning catch vs NCST....

1st holy **** moment for me in a long time

This.

props to coach Mcdonald, thats good coaching right there. If Dorsett would have brought his hands up any earlier Amerson would have been more aggressive in trying to break it up, but Dorsett waited to last sec.

I think the ball whould have stuck in Dorsetts facemask if he didn't catch it, right on the money.

also looks like all 3 dbs kind of gave up on it because they thought they were so far downfield that the ball wouldnt get there

Duke's performance against UVA was outrageous. Equally as outrageous was how we lost that game. DIAF Corch Dorito.

As far as actual game moments, this had to be the one. My 8 year old son and I were screaming like crazy after he made that catch. It was an amazing play. The Malcolm Lewis-Al Golden moment was the defining moment in what kind of coach we had and how badly we've needed someone like him.

Mike James being a friggin Man and running over cats in the GT game....also the First Quarter against FSU..didnt win, but we showed thows b#tches that we are going to lay down..Bring on 2013!!!

I agree with Allmighty. The drops by Dorsett against ND. That game could have been different with those catches.

if you mean "different" in that we would have been blown out by a slightly different margin, i agree.

irrespective of the drops, they manhandled our lineman

You know what this thread made me realize? Even though we were 7-5 and didn't go to a bowl, this was a good season. For the first time in a very long time I can actually look back fondly on a season. It was not a year I'd rather forget like most have been in the last decade.

There were a few memorable moments. For me it was the overtime run by Mike James in the GT game. I literally started crying like a b.itch. They were tears of pure joy. When we get back to the top, I'll always remember that moment as the turning point for this program.

Was up there in that section as well. Unbelievable game even though it was bizarre cheering against my Alma mater on their home field.

You don't know how mo could have affected that game. If ND was down by 14 what would their mind set have been? Would they have stayed with their game plan? Pitt was bad and ND escaped with a win in OT and we saw just how bad they really were. After the drops you don't think the Cane players were let down?

Game moments--for sure. My son and I were able to get to the Sideline Club for the end of the game. We were standing right there in the vicinity of the catch and were right in the middle of the celebration, maybe ten yards from the end of the players' bench feeling all of the cheers from field level. Awesome, awesome moment.

The very first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the thread title was the Malcolm Lewis moment. To me, it defined not only what kind of coach we have, but what kind of program we aspire to be and, I think, are becoming. My hope is that we'll look back on that image as one that defines an era for us.

The GT game as a whole will be viewed as a turning point. The bomb against NC State, look at Morris' throwing of the ball. It almost looks edited, if you watch his arm there is almost no effort similar to him just throwing it away.... meh! And then it just kept going and going! Amazing!
