I see what u did thereI’ll drink to that!!
And Urban turned over the play calling to Day but both Urban and Herman (who worked for Urban) have major input on the play calling. The scheme belongs to Meyer and Herman, two of the most egotistical guys in the business.Yeah he was there but he turned over playcalling duties to Applewhite
Would be a major up grade to what we have been2015 - 20th in offense
2016 - 41st on offense
“Higher position in recruiting department”Not sure how legit the person is, but someone just tweeted....
"In a effort to improve the recruiting department David Cooney goes from offensive quality control to higher position within the recruiting department. Cooney is a outstanding recruiter who really relates to the athletes. Everyone loves Cooney."
And for every case like that....there's 4,981 ones that don't pan out.
I'm a numbers guy, an odds guy, a sample size guy.....you simply can't **** around with THE most important hire on the staff. It HAS to be a home run.
Applewhite wasn’t a bum at Houston. In 2015 they had the 10th best scoring offense. In 2016 they were 26th and that year they had to play their third 3rd string QB in some games when the top 2 QBs were injured. The Applewhite slander is extreme. Kendal Briles didn’t get there until this past season.
I'd take a chicken picking plays by pooping on a numbered grid over Coley.I'd take Applewhite over Coley for sure!
I cant deal with your signatures lmaoI’d be okay with Applewhite.
Not thrilled but okay.
I wish we’d give Sarkisian a look.
I cant deal with your signatures lmao
I agree with his signature
there are plenty of posters here who would not call themselves *** that would have dropped to their knees with the quickness to drain CMR if he asked
Exactly. If he didn’t get Tyrique, and they kept him around then it’s just another black mark on the program.I am hoping Cooney keeping his job means he was able to reel in TS. Giving him a promotion in the recruiting dept wouldn’t make sense otherwise imo.
And you have to assume applewhite would run what he did at Houston in 2015 and 2016 compared to what he ran at TexasHerman taught Applewhite his offense and Major ran it seamlessly enough that Herman let him call plays day 1. This allowed Herman to really be HC. Major learned Herman’s offense from scratch, took control, and ran it the entire three years.
