I also called his number at Miami , just saying lol. I’m not saying dude is wrong , I just haven’t heard it. I’m not the end all and I can miss in hearing things. We’ll see
As always. Coaching is a fluid game. It’s all understandable. I’m just happy that for the first time in a long time I don’t feel as if I need to question my coaches decisions.

Based on? He doesn’t have them now.

Exactly. Coley is loyal to Jimbo, we all know that. But he’s coaching Tight Ends in college station. If you don’t think he’d take a raise to live in Miami, you’re out of your mind. Give me more money and I get to move back home? Yeah I’m Gucci on calling plays thanks, where do I sign?

And he has a relationship with Mario and pushed for Golden to hire him back in the day if I’m not mistaken.

Fine with Ponce coaching QB’s but please no play calling ...

and unless someone is an obvious upgrade over Hickson, blah. Our backs have played well, he is **** good on the trail, especially in SoFla and has relationships with several key ‘23 guys already (especially Fletcher).
Yeah Hickson has been really good I think

Option A:
Brady OC/WR
McClendon RB
Coley QB
Mirabal OL
Field TE

Option B:
Brady OC/QB
Seider RB
McClendon WR
Mirabal OL
Field TE
Feel like these options are missing another offensive mind some where. A true Xs and Os brain.

If we truly are rolling like the big dogs, why not throw some cash at a Mullen for an analyst role?

We get his offensive acumen and innovation while keeping him (and more importantly his wife) away from the recruits and players. Best of all, most of it would be on UFs dime.

How about Option C

Brady - OC/WR
Coley - QB
McClendon - RB
Seider - TE
Mirabal - OL
Field - Recruiting Analyst

This possible at all?

Or, Seider RB and someone like Hartley TE? If McClendon isn't confirmed confirmed.

Don’t like the idea of McClendon moving to RBs.

Missing out on Seider hurts.

Also not thrilled about bringing Coley back, if the rumors are true.

I hope this is all just smoke and not what actually happens.
Mclendon 247 recruiting list has Nick Chubb, Sony michel and Todd gurley, idk about the pure coaching aspect but we should be fine

Lol, coley coaching TEs screams "I'm a bag man, they just put me wherever". He's not a big time p5 playcaller. Help with the game plan? Sure but not the playcaller. The guy is a crooter.

RE: Ponce

After looking at some #,‘s, he actually had App State pretty solid on offense. And he is reputable as a good QB coach.

Second # is UM, first is App State.

Total O: 47 / 23
Rushing: 37 / 98
Passing: 59 / 10
Scoring O: 24 / 26
Red Zone O: 12 / 56
3rd Down %: 91/ 49
1st downs: 21 / 23
Sacks allowed: 8 / 90
Time of Poss: 27 / 118

Better red zone scoring which I would imagine is correlated to running the football better. 3rd down efficiency is worrisome, but these #’s suggest he probably would be solid. Underwhelming though, considering Brady’s name has steady smoke. TVD and these boys deserve an offense that’ll make it rain.
