We saw enough of Emory IMO. It’s not like he had a bad game but looked promising in the bowl game. He looked like a true freshman 9th grade QB out there. His throwing motion is not only very slow but extremely awkward too.
If Judd doesn’t beat out Emory then we are ****ed ****ed.

I'll go so far as to say we need to respectfully encourage him to move on. We look to create competition and eliminate mediocrity at every other position, why wouldn't we do so at QB? Take the reps we're giving to Emory and give them to Judd or Luke or an FCS/G5 QB we get from the portal.

I wouldn’t mind him staying and being a Jimmy Murphy, Ryan Ragone type guy. Great teammates with lots of heart that may only see action in blowouts vs Bethune Cookman type games.

I hope im wrong a Ray Ray has a Tank Dell type season i really do but i just dont see with this kid! Reminds me of Joe Yearby the way he runs and athletically. This whole off season when i predict production from the WR position i draw a blank with RJ. Only see Daniels as the only receiver with production in the past and a none in the future. Im not tryna be negative i just dont see it! Again hopefully im wrong an he balls out

I hope Emory stays for this coming year. If Beck misses any time we're likely up Schitt's Creek, but I'd rather have a guy whose in his 3rd year in Dawson's system and has played meaningful snaps, than Judd or Nickel (for next year).

I think our OL/running game and defense will be better than it was the last time Emory started in '23. Perhaps I'm picking nits here, but I think we could eek out an ugly win or 2 more with Emory if disaster strikes than with the other 2.

Agree, just looks like he has 0 wiggle and didn’t seem fast, start to cut and hopefully gain some explosive movement again.
