Honestly, Thad fell behind last year because of his weight and habits. Brown came in to camp in shape and willing to put in the work. All things being equal, they’re not close imo.

Gattis said the TE would be a HUGE part of the Miami offense

Early returns showing he wasn’t bull****ting.

We might start beating Notre Dame in recruiting for great TEs and re establish TEU
Miami already beats ND for TEs and TEU never left

How do you play three safeties? You play two traditional safeties and the third you play as a linebacker. Only you don’t call him a linebacker, you call him a “striker” or a “star” so he doesn’t get his feeling hurt because you moved him to linebacker.
A little OT but Harrell never sees meaningful field time as anything but that third “safety” role. Kid is a linebacker.

I feel like J Dub has the athleticism to play a legit safety role at the highest level in college. But I wouldn’t just play two starters when you have Kinchens and AW. Rotate all three.

There's lots of rumors of many transfers coming in all over this place. Mostly the recruiting board.
It's just silly to me. All these CIS posters talking about we need help at this and that. None of them have a press pass or any a ability to see practices.

Secondly, it's been 3 days without pads. How could anyone evaluate our players after 3 days of little to no contact. It's too soon. Need the full complement of Spring practices and the Spring game to know what have and what we need.

TVD has the talent and arm to be a top 3 pick in the draft. His ball placement is already NFL like. I haven't seen enough of Jacuri to put him on that level. In fact I think Jake is also way ahead of him. Jacuri's ceiling is high though.
Jacurri arm looks just as if not stronger than TVDs and his off platform throws are insane. Add that with him being a far better athlete than them two combined I think if we get his mechanics right he has cam newton potential. Me saying this isn’t a knock on tvd or jake at all they’re gonna be special too

Really need Taylor and JHH to take a step up in their game this year. Our DL depth is scary bad
No!!! WTF are you talking a a about???? HH, LT, Miller, Lichtenstein, and Moultrie all have experience and 3/5 have starting experience. All 5 of them will play and we'll only lose 1 for next year.

No comment on Haye as he hasn't played. Perhaps we need 1 more for this season, but we are nowhere near "scary bad" as you described it.

Accuracy and consistency goes a loooong way.. That is hit or miss if that can be improved but good thing is we have time to develop him and dont have to depend on him asap like in the past..

Nice problem to have

Jacurri will be a starter at the University of Miami.

I feel like alot of us are already undervaluing him.

He has all the tools.

He just needs to be developed in processing and getting the ball out quick.

His high school offense was awful from what I saw. It didn’t teach him that part of the game. Too much deep ball or nothing and bad o line play. Had him playing hero ball way too much.

He is a smart kid and hard worker. I hope he develops as a quick release pocket passer because he has Heisman level talent.

I am confident in Gattis and Ponce. I think they can get it done.

People are evaluating our talent based on last year's coaching and schemes along with the eye test compared to dominant teams they want us to be like.

You have been in many threads emphasizing that our staff needs time to evaluate the players on the roster properly and observe how they can contribute to their philosophies and eventual schemes and game plans. That does seem to align itself with what Steele said yesterday about how what happened last year is essentially meaningless to what they are doing now.

However, I also can see why people think we need better players in certain positions and more depth because most fans want us to not only go to a possible ACC championship but do much more in 2022.
The Portal has been mostly good to us over the last three seasons.

It's the third practice and the team is going to look different in the Fall. While it seems all positive per Spring press, it has not been as usual. The biggest positive is the coaching. I still don't believe J. Williams will be a full-time S in Fall. I don't want him isolated and picked on by WR's. We have to see how he is coached up. I also seriously question if any of these WR's are ready to be a #1. We still have serious depth issues. Players are going to be pushed out and I will guess around 8 more transfer's are brought in by Fall camp. Even with all the injuries.
I don't get this **** about our WRs. It's been 3 **** practices and here you are making assessments based on what?

They are replacing Harley and Rambo that had a lot of production. Why don't we all just let things play out and see who develops. This is probably our most talented WR core we've had in a decade.

Someone or several WRs are going to emerge because TVD is going to get them the ball.
