Do you have a reason for stating that?No rebuttal necessary. I disagree with your assessment. He's one of our top 5 OL.

My eyes tell me that he had an entire offseason to win the LG battle in 2024 and he lost. My eyes also tell me that he has had opportunities the last 2 years to vie for an open position and they habe chosen to pursue alternative options. My eyes also tell me he is not one of the top 5 when he is in the actual games. Outside of that I'm not sure what to base it upon. Hence me asking.lol, yeah. He's better than RR. I mean, this stuff ain't rocket science. Tell me - do your eyes tell you that RR is better? If so, then let's just agree to disagree and move on.
Dont ever fall for the CIS trap half these people know there *** from there face!False.
I said he’s a blue-chip corner per 247.
I never personally vouched either way because I haven’t seen him play. I’ll share my opinion after I get a chance to watch him work a few more times.

Not saying yes no right or wrong but it was reported that he was pushing for the LT job until he got hurt in the summerMy eyes tell me that he had an entire offseason to win the LG battle in 2024 and he lost. You know that's not the way things are done here. Give these yahoos the Patterson Bigfoot film and they'll tell you, height, weight, age, diet, and favorite films.Looks like Rodriquez at guard (Edit: Ik it means nothing just pointing it out lol)
I know it’s only Day 2, but any thoughts on the new D coaches?Feeling much better about our secondary after two days. Lucas and Poyser would have been huge difference-makers last year. Dylan Day is a homegrown guy to watch.
That could be true, but he was first man up when RR got hurt. He was slowly phased out once Bell showed any competency. He is always the in case of an emergency backup which to me signals he is more dependable than reliable. Not saying yes no right or wrong but it was reported that he was pushing for the LT job until he got hurt in the summer
But whatever the end result the coaches confidence in him has certainly been a lot bigger than his play
Of course JoJo burned Karnley deep...Some notes from 247:
-Safeties and nickels are working on their communication and alignment when offenses motion receivers or tight ends. Poyser doing a great job in this drill.
-On half field 7v7:
-Quickly getting chippy on LOS. Tough to gauge without pads but offensive line doing a good job getting push on DL
-Trader burns Karnley deep. Nice ball from Emory. Dylan Day picks off Judd Anderson on a bad read
Minor scuffle breaks out ignited by some big time physicality from Bobby Pruitt
Good energy with the offensive line vs defensive line during inside run drill…much calmer now with special teams work
He wasn’t impressive. Certainly not to the level the coaching staff apparently thinksThat could be true, but he was first man up when RR got hurt. I agree. Hard to account for the injury aspect when that information is heavily guarded. Maybe it is the culprit, but the drop-off is noticeable to me.He wasn’t impressive. Certainly not to the level the coaching staff apparently thinks
Not sure if it was just injuries or maybe our coaches are just doing that thing where they love to convince everyone they are the smartest in the room (claiming diamonds in the rough)
Emory and Luke working together after practice today.
Hadn’t had a safety like that in ages (assuming he performs the way we think)-Zechariah Poyser is clearly the best-looking safety out there. He’s got size and length and it’s clear he moves well and is instinctual.
Not surprised...They need to put X Lucas at Safety first to pair with Poyser then see how the CB's work from there.
Excited about Trader this season, I hope the light can come on for Ny Carr as well, kid seemed like a grade A prospect coming out of HS.From David Lake:
- CB Xavjer Lucas has freakshow potential. He basically the best body type of the defensive back group and his movement skills and technique look different. Lucas is going to be a big time addition to the cornerback room—and probably the best corner on the team in 2025. His combination of length and athleticism is impressive.
-Like the way the new defensive back coaches share the duties in the secondary. That group is getting coached hard and right now the focus is on cleaning up basic technique and fundamentals. Last year an issue for the secondary was understanding what to do against motions and shifts. The safety group spent a period going over alignments and adjustments to make when a receiver or tight end goes into motion.
- Says JoJo is clearly the best WR; Malachi Toney caught his attention with the routes and explosiveness he showed in the slot.
From Canesport, on Hetherman's presser today
Today it was Hetherman’s turn to talk about his vision for this Hurricanes defense … and what he’s learned about his personnel from the first two days of spring practice.
“Day 1 kind of came out, had to play a little faster, communicate better,” Hetherman said. “Day 2 (today) we saw some strides, guys are starting to communicate, guys are starting to play faster, we’re starting to swarm to the football. Every day we talk about getting a little bit better, making sure today we are better than we were yesterday.”
Hetherman says the end goal is to “find out who are the best 11.”
“It’s always going to be all about us,” he said. “I don’t care what team we’re playing, where we’re playing them, it’s always `Who are we, what’s our identity?’ And it’s going to be how do we get the best players on the field. So right now there’s a lot of guys playing multiple positions. … Everyone is going to move around because I want to see how fast we can be and how fast we can attack the point of attack.
“Right now it’s positionless defense – everyone is put in different spots, we’re teaching them fundamentals and techniques right now and then we’ll find out where everyone fits as we get closer to the season.”
In his first full year as a starter McCoy allowed 11 pressures and just one sack on the year. There was five straight games in which McCoy did not allow either a sack or a pressure in 2024.
Big factsYeah I mean I realize those days are dead and it’s a different world but it was always cool to see the guys waiting in the wings and still contributing to the team. Wasn’t any Greentree reports to worry about you could literally see them out there even if they weren’t on offense and defense
