From David Lake:

- CB Xavjer Lucas has freakshow potential. He basically the best body type of the defensive back group and his movement skills and technique look different. Lucas is going to be a big time addition to the cornerback room—and probably the best corner on the team in 2025. His combination of length and athleticism is impressive.

-Like the way the new defensive back coaches share the duties in the secondary. That group is getting coached hard and right now the focus is on cleaning up basic technique and fundamentals. Last year an issue for the secondary was understanding what to do against motions and shifts. The safety group spent a period going over alignments and adjustments to make when a receiver or tight end goes into motion.

- Says JoJo is clearly the best WR; Malachi Toney caught his attention with the routes and explosiveness he showed in the slot.

They knew that, he's a developmental prospect to build up the CB room.

Think about it, the room completely turned over outside of OJ, which is for the best. Karnley ios likely number 5 or 6 CB after the TFr are here too. So when the 1's from offense go, he'll be playing on the defensive side, which isn't a bad thing. If he's going to our worst CB dressed on only on the sidelines and playing ST, I'm all in. Starting experience and sitting behind Brantley, Lucas, Richard (maybe?) etc. That's good news. Gotta raise the floor.
