Spring Practice 3/29 - Early Portion Notes

Bullcrap. Ken Dorsey won the job when Kenny Kelly left the program, for crying out loud. Who was his competition going into 2000? Perry will be pushed by Williams anyway. Rosier should be a non factor from this day forward.

As long as Perry turns out to be a UM legend then I guess your dopey comparison will work out. I guess this 2018 team is one of the most talented ever then too. A young Ken Dorsey might’ve benefited from that 2000 team’s level of talent around him. Specifically veteran talent.

Sean Taylor waited behind Reed and James Lewis. Was he better for that or would you have been praying for Lewis to tear his ACL or something?

So coaches should continue to preach competition at every position but QB. Hey Cager keep pushing because Hightower and Wiggins are coming for you. Dean, if you look over your shoulder you’ll see Frierson and Ivey.

Perry, we’re hoping Rosier falls on his face just like the dumb fans. We’d like to make it as easy as possible for you when there is no guarantee you’ll be good. We know most 4-Star QBs are more likely to bust than become stars but we’d like your only competition to be another freshman

Why all the MI2 hate? Thought he had a good week
A good week doesn’t make us forget what he did in the last7 weeks of the season nor should it. Only people who know if he had a good week is people who see beyond the first 15 minutes of practice

From the little clips I saw from Matt Porter of the QBs, Perry constantly led his receivers w nice anticipation throws, while Rosier was throwing behind his targets, impeding their momentum. Rosier is not a QB; he’s an athlete playing QB. His mechanics are terrible and inconsistent. One minute he’s putting the ball perfectly, and the next, he’s gunning it over a players head, or throwing it directly into coverage b/c he focuses on one target.

He got his chance to show what he could do. Nothing has changed, again, from what I could see in brief clips. I think Perry beats him out.

I doubt Amari will be a "starter". But I absolutely think he will essentially be getting about starter type snaps at safety. Obviously Jaquan will rarely be coming off the field. But Redwine and Amari will rotate. I just think Redwine is going to keep the starter label. I'd bet about 800+ snaps for Jaquan again. and maybe like 500snaps for Redwine and 400 snaps for Amari. Gurvan Hall, if healthy which lets hope he is, probably around 100-150 snaps.

Its kind of a similar situation to Demetrius Jackson at DE (and DT in pass rush). Personally I think Joe Jackson and Jon Garvin will be our two starting DEs at SDE and WDE respectively with Demetrius backing up Joe, and Rousseau backing up Garvin. But as far as snaps are concerned I expect Demetrius to get a **** load - maybe even equal to Garvin tbh. I think Joe Jackson will get around 700 snaps this yr (he had 580 last yr). Garvin and Demetrius will get around 500 each.. And Rousseau will get around 200. And Patchan will get maybe close to 200 too.

Lol u breaking down the amount of snaps.... How tf do u have analytical breakdowns about everything when it comes to this team??

"...and make sure it says Hawaii on it"

Look; MI2 has all the tools to be another great TE here. He’s gifted. But gifted and wanting to put ur gifts in to motion are two totally different things. He seems like AfroMan every interview (and if u don’t know who AfroMan is, just YouTube AfroMan’s greatest hit and you’ll see y I made that statement).

I need him to step up, like now.

LOL, I know who Afroman is bruh. Id be a huge cornball if I didn't. At least ,imho.

I cant judge the MI2 by his interviews tho. Hes just a soft spoken guy.

I truly believe he wants to be great. I just think we should be a little patient seeing as how his upbringing hasn't really put that DAWG in him.

I don't see anything wrong with expecting more from him and constructive criticism. Some of these guys are going too far tho.

I am NOT on the "Trash MI2" team.

I actually think he will be a great help to the team this season and will make all of you eat crow.

I am probably alone in thinking that.

I just think we are throwing that young man under the bus far too quick. Yes, he grew up wanting for nothing so mayne he needs a stiffer kick in the rear. Let these coaches try to mold that clay.

Im happy to see the TEs as a whole are improving.

You are not alone...there are at LEAST two of us!

The wishing bad luck to Malik cost a career to a very good guy a cb when the bad luck fairies mistook the MALEK (young) for MALIK (rosier). Just stop it people before you cost more unintended damage!!!!
