**The QB's had a solid day again, but this is something that should be expected with no defense/pass rush. The only throw off the mark was a low and away skinny post route to from Cade Weldon to walk-on TE Nicholas Ducheine. Malik Rosier and N'Kosi Perry continue to lead the way, but Jarren Williams is also proving himself on Greentree. That despite the fourth string Williams having to throw to the 5'9 140 pound equipment manager when the Canes work the QB/TE drills since there's only three TE's on the roster, which is really funny to watch.

**The QB throwing routes today were bubble screens, fake pitch weakside rollout, skinny post up the middle, and out routes.

**QB's also spent some time working on the RB draw with the running backs out of the shotgun today, the first running plays we've seen. Travis Homer and Deejay Dallas continue to mainly split first team reps, but Lorenzo Lingard has also gotten a few looks with the first team as well.

**The story of early practice was the tight ends, who looked like they found a groove a bit today. There were zero drops, a first in spring practice. Mark Richt looked to be paying a little more attention to the group today, helping Todd Hartley coach them up.

**The receivers didn't work at all with the QB's in the early viewing part of practice today.

**The offensive line and team defense depth charts remained the same from last week, which can be found *here*.

**Derrick Smith and Waynmon Steed seem to be benefiting the most from Zach McCloud's absence (McCloud is out for the rest of spring with a wrist injury). The two have taken the extra opportunity and run with it, especially Steed (working mostly at WILL behind Michael Pinckney) who really needed this spring to prove he is fully healthy. He has done that and more. Smith continues to be used in his hybrid LB/S role by Manny Diaz, playing down at the line of scrimmage at times and making tackles at the line, while also spending time covering the slot receiver. He seems poised for a big role in 2018.

**Post-Practice UPDATE: The entire defense was made to stay on the field after practice and do wall-sits for about 5 or so minutes. Manny Diaz said it was because the energy and intensity was lacking from the unit today, as well as wanting to teach the new guys the standard at UM. Also, Mark Pope was out at practice today, joined by recruits South Dade WR Frank Ladson and 2020 Miami Central DB Henry Gray.

Sounds like the corches have fvcked up here. This is some bush league schit. Where is Pfenny when you need him?

Wish I had a vid of Steph to porst......

Encouraging news with TE's. We need at least 1 of Irvin/Polendy to be serviceable. We all know Brevin is a stud but that's a lot to throw on a freshman who arrives in the summer. Mallory is a matchup nightmare but does not have the size/strength to be an inline TE right now.

Also, I think pulling McCloud on obvious passing downs for Smith sounds like a win.

The real news here is that Burns has made it through a whole week without getting hurt.
Quit trying to jinx that man.

I am NOT on the "Trash MI2" team.

I actually think he will be a great help to the team this season and will make all of you eat crow.

I am probably alone in thinking that.

I just think we are throwing that young man under the bus far too quick. Yes, he grew up wanting for nothing so mayne he needs a stiffer kick in the rear. Let these coaches try to mold that clay.

Im happy to see the TEs as a whole are improving.

Gives hope the young LB's are starting to find their way. Looked lost in limited game action last year.

Don’t think most on here trash Rosier. There are a lot of people, me included, who believe he has a limited ceiling and that ceiling’s been reached.

If he has a great year I’d be thrilled beyond belief. Just don’t see that happening based on his performance for pretty much the entire 2017 season.

My bad for the confusion. I was talking about Irving.

Fuq Rosier. Ill spare him because he put his body on the line for that U.

but I cant put all out support into a guy who said he was " going thru the motions" when it comes to leading this team to an undefeated regular season.

Inexcusable for a QB.

Thanks for the practice updates. I really look forward to these.

Unconfirmed report from another poster that Hall was nicked up - wrapped up leg apparently. Not sure if reliable. You hear anything?
