Ive been around recruits, not winning is hurting us more than this banner stuff trust me, if we had a 10 win season last year and we should have had one none of this would be happening

But the banner doesn't, and never will, help us win more. So even if the negative impact is less than that of not winning, it still has a negative impact overall. So piling a negative on top of a negative doesn't make things better. All it does is make a bunch of losers feel like the are "doing something" when all they are really doing is piling on the damage.

So fans that are outspoken about a coach are losers?

This has gone way beyond "outspoken." It's become irrational, overblown, and just plain ridiculous. Golden gets blamed if a player catches the flu.

Well have students marched on campus for his firing? Because they did that at michigan, is that more extreme than a banner?

And for your statement about him getting blamed for everything, hes the head coach, all the blame with anything is on the coach, its like that in every sport

That's bull****. If a player doesn't do his job, that's often on the player, not the coach. I see players get criticized all the time in every sport, on every team. Do it to a UM player, and the Golden hater mob claims you are "throwing the kid under the bus".....unless of course THEY criticize the player, but then they do it under the guise of "Golden never should have recruited that loser (often about kids that they themselves had previously been excited about)" or "it's Golden's fault he sucks."


As for the Michigan thing, that was beyond coaching, that was a player health issue and idea that the staff may have hid a player's concussion.

What recruit has said they didnt sign because of the negativity? Like i said the blames on golden because hes the head coach, if he wants to shut everyone up then win, plus these kids dont give 2 sh¡ts most of the time about what the fans say, you should see all the sh¡t they get from all the fan bases on social media

It might give you an inflated sense of importance, and self worth, you know, the same thing you feel from your team being a winner, but it does nothing else. Here's the way I look at it. If Golden doesn't do well this year, we lose, and he's fired. Now, a banner does NOTHING to make that happen at this point. His own poor coaching will take care of that. So if you believe Al Golden is as crappy as you think he is, just sit back and watch as we lose and he's fired. He won't survive another 6 win season. The banner crowd want their voice heard, and I get that, but there's no one who doesn't know how upset we fans are. Flying banners influences recruits in a negative way. So does losing. Right now Al Golden isn't getting fired before next season, so we need to just wait it out and let nature run its course. HE will not survive losing. WE will not survive if we scare off top recruits whom the next coach can coach up.

Me? I was in the stands, at every game watching what Butch was building. Seeing first hand the affect real, ACTUAL sanctions had on our program. What Fat Al has gone through is NOTHING compared to what Butch went through.

You seem confused, or incapable of keeping up with simple arguments. You can look just a few posts up and see what we, and others, care about the banners because it negatively impacts recruiting and the overall view of the program and fan base. It certainly DOES have an impact, but none that have any benefit to the program, the team, the school, or the fan base.
