South Florida draft

The volume of first rounders from SFL counties is unmatched, but the central Florida area has put out at least 1 first rounder annually for almost a decade.

I am going to guess 2018 Derwin James from FSU who was from Haines City in Polk County.

2016 Vernon hargraves iii from UF via Tampa Florida

2016 Keanu Neil from UF via south sumter, Fl

2015 Dante Fowler from UF via St Petersburg, Fl

Then 2014 when UCF's QB Blake Bortles went 3rd overall. He was from Oviedo, Fl

Go Canes

Tampa area isn’t considered Central Florida

Some of y'all need to relax a little with the Texas d!ck swingin.

They're having a great draft but this event is generally dominated by Florida yearly.

Florida still has 51 more players in the NFL than Texas despite having 8+ million less residents. And the percentage of football players from Florida who sign Division-1 football scholarships is far greater than that of Texas.

Gotta bring you MF'ers back down to earth. Jesus.

Love how we always compare whole states to a 2-county region. LOL
Dade and Broward need to be it's own state anyway.

That makes me wonder...

When's the last time another region of Florida produced a first rounder?
Last year it was 5 Florida kids in the first round, right? All from SOUTH Florida, 4 from Broward and 1 from Dade.

I’m hoping the kids from up here in central can start making some noise soon, but you right!

Stop it. You're ruining the posters that try to hate on FL's agenda. LOL

Chris Carter was never going to let that happen.
Does it matter the guy up at osu is considered the best dB coach in college football along with Alabama and LSU. We need to develop our players they are not chopped liver!!!

Its still SFL but Lamar went R1 and played all of his HS ball in PBC (prior to that grew up in broward though I believe).

dade, broward, palm is s.fla.

Lamar Jackson is from Pompano in broward...he only claims there....Devin Singletary as well claims Pompano Beach

AJ went to Westlake, and Thomas went to Pace. The other guy (forgot his name) is from Sugar Hill.

Westlake always produces studs, have no idea why we dont go in there. We usually chekc out Stephenson. But Westlake since i lived in atl in early 2000s had studs

Both of those schools lose a lot of players to other schools but they still have a lot of talent. If guys didn't move then schools like Mays and Westlake would be absolute powers.

when i lived there Mays, Doug, Washington had TALENT.

Before our games on saturdays i would go on thursdays/fridays to watch the hs games with my teammates. Seen a bunch of Mays games and Washington had Miami Safety Reshad Jones then.

It isn't about recruiting one area. It is about recruiting the best players you can.
Somehow people don't understand that.

I just look forward to the reactions when 90% of the top rated players in FL sign everywhere else but Miami & see the same people beating the warm drum of how we should never leave Florida & recruit no place else lol.

The last word is bolded, because people still don't understand how hard it is to recruit out of state with a bad team. More often than not, you sign players like Zalontae Hillary and get burned by players like Romello Height.

We complain about players like Damon Arnette, Zack Moss and Josh Uche because they were a short drive away and begging to be recruited.

That's a negative Devin Singletary is from Deerfield Beach. He played on the same Little Team Deerfield Packer Rattlers just like Denard Robinson. Lamar Jackson is from Pompano Beach playing his little league Years at Pompano Cowboys. Those two teams are rivals. Well use to be.

But Moss, Arnette and Uche are 3 star players and they all most be bad.

Our best player Rousseau was a 3 star player ranked 80th in the state by 247.

Its all about evaluation that’s all.
