Waste of time. No booster, or boosters, can compete with what an NFL owner can provide. And Kingsbury has something that maybe hard to pass up on, a franchise quarterback and real shot at a super bowl.

Is that why the to college coaches get paid more than too NFL coaches

what has Riley needed that he hasn't had the last 4 years at OU?
it was reported by Feldman that the "alignment of the administration" played a major role in Riley taking the USC job. other factors were location (LA), local recruiting talent, and rebuilding a premier brand.

if we can get the "administration" part corrected then we will have have a very similar pitch to Mario.

There's only a select few college coaches who can actually say that. Maybe 10 -12 HCs at premier programs can actually say that against the lowest paid HC in the NFL. Saban, the highest paid HC in CFB, makes 11.25mill. That's cute compared to what Belichek is making this year. Again, the NFL is a different level for a reason. If the Arizona Cardinals wants to keep Kliff, no program in the country will be able to pry him away.

"Then again, when one of the most recognizable owners in sports pays you $18 million a year to run his football team, you need to do everything possible to make up for an ugly 7-9 season."

Turn that frown upside down.

When USC doesn't win the Pac12 or a Natty... Savior Riley will turn into another La Brea Tar Pits sacrifice.
Riley may not win a Natty, but he's going to win the PAC-12 and make the CFP consistently. He knows he can't win an SEC title at Oklahoma, so he bounced.

Oklahoma will be a mediocre SEC team because they'll never have the defense to compete with the elites of the conference. Unless they hire an offensive guru, they will no longer get elite QBs.

Oklahoma could turn into Nebraska. Great fanbase, but has to recruit out of state for a majority of its players. Lost their recruiting base when they changed conferences.

They better get this hire right, or they'll be the Nebraska of the SEC.

Well, they have shown they like to go after the hotshot coordinator route rather than big splash hire. Stoops and Riley were their last 2 HCs and those dudes were coordinators and turned out pretty good.
