I'm on cloud 9.

We fired Blake James and our capital-starved AD suddenly has a handful of billionaires fighting each other to help us compete with the bog boys, all while we have a school President that, for the first time in our ~100 year history, is willing to move money from other areas (our UHealth coffers which is suddenly a raging ATM) of the school to football.

The earth f'ing shifted under the Hecht.

The only news we've gotten is good news so far. The rest is hysterical message board and tweeters filling in the blanks with every silly negative unconfirmed rumor that they hear.

This is the effect of battered fan syndrome. All of the right things are supposedly out there, but given that nothing is yet to be announced (all the while UF has fired a coach and hired a new one, UO lost its coach to USC, a ton of coaches have been resigned at substantial raises) the fan base is erupting.

I am having an issue with the lack of info coming from the school given that timing is very important. Doing it right is one thing, but given the MANY missteps of this university’s athletic program, I can appreciate the “sky is falling” mentality. None of us want to waste the talent that we have and the next year or possibly two of TVDs as he has shown to be a difference maker.

Information is needed at this point to stay call and assure ourselves that this school won’t ***** it all up again.
