With the injury to Jadais richard , we are going to probably end up starting Patterson and moving Meesh Powell to nickel. But that guy Jaden Harris probably will still keep starting. Fvxk we can’t get away from this kid
 
Scott should have opportunity to play even more down the stretch. I think Guidry is at the end of the rope with Moten. Not sure if he played again after the lastest penalty, but either way he logged only 14% of the snaps against Duke (he'd been averaging 37% of the snaps in ACC play prior to the game).

Yeah. as much as he was my favorite recruit of that 2021 class, he's clearly not fully recovered from his injuries. Maybe he will be better by next season. But better to get Bobby out there now while Chase is still too slow and inflexible.

Also, @DMoney i noticed on the Booker sack, Cole was the opposite DE. Has Lightfoot been left in the dust here?

Again, the defense is a major problem. I lose sleep over it. But saying it's a bottom-feeder defense is not in tune with the stats. There are a lot of bad defenses out there. We're towards the middle or a little below.

Shakes out like this. Bad in first half, above average in second half. That spells mid level defense.

I agree the secondary lacks talent but Guidry is getting worked every week. It’s like we go into the game with no gameplan at all, then Guidry waits until halftime to try this or that.

We keep playing the same guys who are getting exposed.

He should start next to Barrow. Mesidor should be outside at end unless it's 3rd and long. I think part of the problem with the defense is 2 of our starters (Mesidor and Porter) are playing at replacement level at their current spots when they've proven to provide much more value at End and Outside Corner, respectively.
