Came out wrong. I guess I meant that we've had good OLBs, decent enough CBs, and pretty good DEs the past few years.

But up the middle we stunk.

Dewey and crow will never start... morris then williams the kevin olsen when he comes in next year will start over them...

i think people are forgetting though that their still high school kids.

That was my thought too while watching them. These guys haven't had their senior proms yet. I hope for a lot more physical maturation and strength over the next 1-2 years.

yah what have they had like 6 college practices. also preston dewey missed most of his senior year.

People forget this. Dewey was injured for pretty much all of last year. Youth and rust aren't a good combination.

Kid is good. He will red shirt, no doubt.

was injured as recently as the Army All American game - sat out because he was still recovering. I'm surprised he's actually participating in the spring.

and with the DL lacking in so many ways I still wish we would have left Dye and Perry at DL. If nothing else we got some extra depth and a lot more size. We got a lot of DE candidates that weigh 230 or less right now.

D$, a question.

With all of the talent coming in at DB, couldnt some, like Bush, start out at safety!??

Me and Tano were talking about this. It's a possibility, but I hope it doesn't happen with Bush. I've seen him play safety, and he doesn't have those type of instincts.

Gunter has been playing well at corner but he's another safety candidate.

Great post DMoney, just wondered how about T Howard going to safety. Howard has great instincts and football knowledge and seems on tape to be better at making plays going forward more so then going backwards.

They need to take one of the kids playing CB who can also tackle and move them to safety. Hope, Gunter, and Finnie will hit. Move RRA to OLB.

I think when the rest of our freshmen get here this summer Gunter will move to Safety.

I have nothing to base this on other than the lack of progress, speed and playmaking ability of Ray Ray and VT.

I think we will need more than that... We didnt have that many turnovers last year... Our D will have to improve... If anything they need to give our O the ball more... There were times when we'll score and we'll be without the ball for like 8 minutes...

I hear again and again that they are there because they have all this experience. The experience so far had been embarrassing.

I hope Gunter or some hungry freshmen can step up and get the job done. 'Cause we're screwed if these guys continue.

Didn't notice Grimble, either. Very disappointed in him-- he's not even flashing. Just consistently underwhelming.

Armbrister looked good on that TFL. Would love for him to really focus and seize playing time at safety.

I remember him blowing up one play in the backfield but I didn't watch him too close, to be honest.
